Didn’t Durant say that specially?
They thought the same thing about Jason Kidd... but let's just agree to disagree.Actually thats not true. The hardest thing to do playing basketball is shoot. The hardest skill period an anyone who has played or coach will tell you that. Simmons will never be a good shooter. His best bet is to become a 30plus % shooter from 3..
I seen someone bump an old member's thread and was just thinking bout all the "Jordan is the GOAT" stans that have withered away from this thread over the years. It used to be 30-40 dickriders strong actively posting in here. And during the Dubs reign there was a short lived resurgance. But now many either dont post in here at all, or left the board completely

Jordan stans tend to be wimps and arent fighters. Theyre used to people just bowing down to the brand they love, so when folks challenge it they start crying and run home. Pussies.
I agree with shooting being the toughest thing to correct in basketball. It’s a full body movement. When teaching it or correcting mechanics you have to correct everything that the shooter is doing. That shit can be very frustrating lolActually thats not true. The hardest thing to do playing basketball is shoot. The hardest skill period an anyone who has played or coach will tell you that. I haven't seen D-TOWN REP in a few years...

You’re right it’s hard to correct but that’s their job. Lonzo worked with a shooting coach in New Orleans and his shot looks better.
There’s basketball trainers whose sole job is to make players better. If a player doesn’t get better shooting jumpers or free throws, it’s the players and their teams fault.
EXACTLY
Its not like this some anomaly
Magic, Kidd, Jordan, lebron all DEVELOPED a jump shot
I could name LITERALLY dozens of players who locked themselves in a gym all summer and developed a shot or improved rebounding or free throws or defense
You ain't gonna be Steph in 3 months
but you can develop a fairly reliable consistent mid range game that at minimum
Opposing guards are going to have to RESPECT.
You may still be under 40% from 2 and 3 but thats better than NOTHING
And that’s all I’m saying!

When I heard folks saying that I was like they clearly wasn’t watching him play. If anything, they should’ve said the injuries are talking a toll on him but he still plays at a high level when healthy for his agehmm...
that is STRONG list.
I remember people said Chris Paul was washed
Jimmy was a malcontent
and those five players?
ANY team would KILL for right now.
Funny thing is?
who would have Embid is the one on that list that we all STILL not completely sure about?
But Joel has the biggest upside.
sidebar..
looking at that list? Kyrie and Harden got a whole lot of explaining to do.
Especially if they link up in Brooklyn and STILL DON"T WIN

He refuses because he can't shoot consistently and or he has no confidence, and thats worse. Mental shit is a tough thing to crack when dealing with athletes....I actually don't disagree
But we got people who SWEAR ON EVERYTHING Simmons CAN SHOOT
He just REFUSES
if that is true, lets assume so for the sake of this specific discussion
WTF are the Sixers and now Doc and Daryll supposed to do EXACTLY?
Throw the ballAt this point we’re not even asking Ben to be a good shooter. We’re just asking him to actually throw the ball at the basketball so that teams will actually think that he’ll shoot.
Once he actually shoots the ball, then we can focus on it actually going in.
Actually J Kidd could shoot way better than Simmons. And he would actually attemp to shoot as well. Simmons dont even look to shoot. Its not even close. So to me it isn't a comparison...They thought the same thing about Jason Kidd... but let's just agree to disagree.
Throw the ballman that shit is hilarious
my issue is his free throw shooting. He seems very timid at times to attack the rim because of it. I wouldn't necessarily care about 3point shooting if he turned into a good free throw shooter; but they say they kinda go hand an hand....

Yes he did. But he still attempted and was way better than Simmons. A lot of issues with Simmons shooting...he WORKED AT IT!
they used to call him Ason.

Very.. ...hold on
isn't this interesting..
Markelle and Simmons
BOTH in Philly
BOTH had "mental" blocks on shooting
It's a pretty valid comparison actually...Actually J Kidd could shoot way better than Simmons. And he would actually attemp to shoot as well. Simmons dont even look to shoot. Its not even close. So to me it isn't a comparison...
Again actually its not one of the easiest things. If it was Simmons and others would do itIt's a pretty valid comparison actually...
I never said anything about the want to shoot, I simply said that one of the easiest things to improve upon in the game was shooting. I used Kidd as an example because he wasn't known as a good shooter early in his career but towards the tail end of it he could consistently knock down 3s.
Simmons is under 25. In the grand scheme of things his job is essentially to put a ball into a hole. He could lock himself in the gym with people whose only job is to help him accomplish that goal and become better over a summer. It happens all the time.
Rondo did it. Lonzo did it. Kidd did it. The fact that Simmons hasn't done it is a failure on both the part of him and the Philadelphia 76ers.
