Once again fan insider access is at the forefront of sports. For the first time players and coaches in the NBA will be asked to wear microphones and provide live interviews during games. The new shift in technology kicked off last night on TNT with a doubleheader featuring the Dallas Mavericks and Denver Nuggets followed by the Miami Heat taking on the Portland Trailblazers. New cameras and microphones were implemented last night and will be instituted for the duration of the regular season.

Another example of it being more about the entertainment than it is about the sport...

That's too close. They need to take a step back and chill. Real fans want to see a real game. The problem is all these white boys that want to live through these black athletes that makes them come up with something stupid like microphones on the players.:smh:

..you want to stop miking players then let them put one on KG or Rasheed Wallace..

The sound bytes would be classic.

I read that Jerry Sloan was already busted for saying an expletive that wasnt cencorsed in the game on ESPN Wednesday against Phoenix with people complaining.

They must've thought that the mics would turn things G rated all of a sudden.

don nelson didnt look too hyped to be doing that bullshit when he could have been talking to his team
