With online, playing 3 v 3 seems to be the way to go.
I just tried playing 21 1 v 1 v 1 online, and it seems like that strong-arm coding is even worse.
On defense, most of the time, they FORCE you to attempt a block even when you dont hit Y/triangle, and even when you're not near the shooter, which in turns, fucks up your chances of getting a rebound.
Then there seems to be a delay from when you hit Y to actually go for a block/rebound, and your timing is off.
The shot timing is also a bit off/slower.

I'm about toi tear Mike Wang a a new asshole and make fun of the very NBA p[layers he's VIOLATING TO THEIR FACES.
The ball and rim itself are coded to repulse you or pull you away from favorable position, you'll notice call for ball at free throw and you will be dragged PAST 3 point line.
The ball repels itself from the paint area and always lags, stalls or just stop whatever animation you require while pulling CPU to it no matter what.

The cpu has the ball and they throw if to Robin Lopez and my team gets a flagrant foul and the cpu gets two freethrows and the ball back. The Cpu makes both freethrows and then Melo hits a 3 to tie the game and we go into overtime and I lose the game.

That same bullshit has happened to me in MyCareer mode... so many times.... It's ridiculous.
Not sure if it happened to you like it happens to me but... what's even WORSE is usually I'm RED HOT when it happens.
Like I'm leading all scorers and/or just dropped over 30+ points.... then the CPU goes on a crazy run in the last minute or 2 of the game... and it 'feels so scripted' when goes to overtime....
...BECAUSE I GET BENCHED AT THE VERY START OF OVERTIME.
But the CPU coach thinks I'm 'good enough' to overcome a 10+ point deficit with less than 30 seconds left to go in overtime, when they put me back in the game.
2K needs to fix that ole 'Substitution Cheese' bullshit

I've just started playing My Team on a regular basis since they've included it. Anybody else playing it? I'm in the 7th seed with 3 gold card restrictions. I've been running Gobert as my 5 with Ryan Anderson as my stretch 4. I picked up a throw back Channing Fyre with a 90+ 3. Going to start running with the Raptors center for a player who can score in the post.

I've been on this Division, but this dark zone shit is getting boring.
this game is so frustrating...I bought the special edition for PS4 traded it in...got the reg. version for about $2 for XB1 ended up trading it in again...DLed it for free on PS4 to try and give it another fair shot...deleted it...the game just does not flow right @ all...I had the same complaint about 2k15...I'm wondering if it's a next gen thing cuz I loved 2k11 and 2k13 on last gen...but this game right now is far more frustrating than fun...I'm actually considering giving EA a shot if I can get it for less than $5 smmfh...I'm that desperate for a fun basketball game
