2K14 was the best looking game last year. Even if they haven't improved which you're wrong by it wouldn't be a bad thing. The player models are more on point and skin tone are more of a match this year.
Not doing all that shit for a Facial Scan. Presets it is.
It's really not a lot. You can do without the sheet matching your skin tone. You really just need good lighting and the camera needs to be at your eye lvl. Just get a lamp and hold the camera up high.
I'll try that later.
An NBA Live fan probably recorded that. Despite the server issues and any minor non gameplay glitch, it's still going to be a good game overall.
It's not Battlefield 4.

It happened to me like every 3 or 4 games, at least... in EVERY single mode on PS4.
Most gamers may not notice it because they DO NOT PLAY ALL 82 GAMES per season, like some of us do. They skip games and just play 'key games'.
But I played 7 whole seasons of MyPlayer ALONE (every. single. game) over the course of 6 months, in addition to 'quick matches' and 'online ranked' games. So I saw it happen far too often.
Yea went 5th to Utah. But because of the servers I was getting sp instead of vc so I had to start over

This year, 2k takes 3 steps forward in 'gameplay'... but 5 steps backwards in 'presentation'. 
If you look at 2k11, 2k12, 2k13, 2k14, and now 2k15... they have ALL THE RIGHT INGREDIENTS to make a MASTERPIECE basketball game... but every year, they keep removing stuff that 'works well'. Or adding stuff that doesn't.
And every year, we keep hoping they 'get it right' and find the right combination.

Everybody KNOWS that is what most of the NBA 2K gamers are waiting for.
It ain't rocket science.
Hell, if the game had ALL that shit in it... they might even be able to raise the 'retail price' a little bit.
But every year, they keep 'tinkering' with the formula.
While missing the BIG PICTURE.
- A 'watered-down' halftime show.
- No post game 'wrap-up' show.
- Stat overlays not triggering.
- Long pauses in commentary.
- Repetitive commentary that we have head for years now.
- Excessively long cheerleader routines.
- Signature Highlights and Player of the Game Highlights not appearing.
- Pharrell's 'emo' soundtrack is disgraceful.
- Individually, the songs cater more to the 'Linkin Park' loving FPS gamers... but as a WHOLE, it's just not built for NBA basketball fans.
- Honestly, 2K does a MUCH better job (on their own) choosing music, imo.
- They are really good at mixing (relatively unknown) indie artists who have a 'sleeper' HIT... with more popular (commercial) artists, who have KNOWN blockbusters, or classics.
- But the tracks 2K chooses are always appropriate for an 'NBA highlight reel'. (Whether it is rock, alternative, pop, or hip-hop.)

Yeah it's different on next gen. They started putting a storyline with the shit last year and you could only get drafted by certain teams.

I'm soooo glad IGN finally got off the 2K 'hype train' and found someone to review the game AND ACTUALLY POINT OUT THE PROBLEMS this year.
Because last year, IGN had the AUDACITY to originally give 2k14 a 9.3 rating... several DAYS after it first launched.... despite the fact that the 2K servers were A MESS from October - thru December. (and beyond

(But it should've gotten about a 6.2 - 7.0 rating imo, if they were being honest)

So, whenever the 2K servers were down... we could only play 3 modes. (Out of 6 or 7) Therefore, the game was actually 50% USELESS for the first 3 or 4 months. And they did not SAY A SINGLE FUCKING WORD about it.
While EVERY popular gaming message board was LIT UP with complaints.
Even IGN's own 'comments section' was filled with complaints about 2K.
If IGN 'Kept it 100' last year, they shoulda said...
- When the 2k servers WORK... (next-gen) 2K14 is worth a 8.6 - 9.2 score.
Agreed.- But when the 2k servers DO NOT work... it shouldn't get more than a 7.0 score, imo.
Skip to the 6:10 mark for the Final IGN Score, and the list of Pros & Cons.
Now imagine if NBA 2K was an FPS shooter instead, like Destiny, or Borderlands, or Titanfall... and their SERVERS SUCKED and prevented gamers from playing 'multiplayer', or 'death matches' and whatnot.
IGN would GO BALLISTIC on those Game Developers.
Bet that.They would TALK about it. Not ignore such 'glaring issues'.
And it would affect the overall score.

i take reviews w/ a grain of salt...i watch the review more than i listen to them...if watching the reviewer play the game seems fun then more than likely i'll have fun playing it...ign gave the original assassin's creed a 7.9 i think and that is one of the best games i've ever played dating back to super metroid...i was just surprised to see it get a 7.8 when they've been giving that game 9s for a few years now...but truth be told it looks like more of the same anyway...the only mode i'm interesed in tho is myleague...except for the jordan challenges from 2k11 none of the other modes/features really interested me...i hate myplayer...nothing i saw has me in a rush to pick it up...esp. for $60
i think i played online once against ceelo champ on 2k11...aside from that i've never played online...always offline association mode so i never had to deal w/ their servers...but you are totally right tho that reviewers shouldn't be ignoring it...this year that was one of the things they mentioned
