Ok who ever posted about players who have changed teams being in the wrong jersey was right to bring it up. 2K dropped the ball in the menu screens. Seeing multiple players in the wrong jersey just irks me the wrong way. I was looking for the manage roster menu to check out player models and could never find it. Not to fund of the controls as for icon passing. Maybe it's just the XBOX ONE controller but I have to press the bumper hard to get the icon up. Post moves like up and unders seem easier to perform now. I'll tackle My Career this weekend. By December I should have a good feel for the game and I'll head to online play.

Btw how do you manual double team on XBOX ONE?

Did they remove quick match team up?

Wow Grown, they have just really said fuck allowing any semblance of basketball be played.

Even if your man had been across the line, the "CODING" was going to shunt him back across the line to force the turnover anyway.

This is some class action lawsuit coding bullshit they doing.

:smh::smh::smh::smh::smh:

^^^ Exactly. :yes::yes::yes::yes::yes:

You can tell that the folks who 'playtest' the NBA 2K series are mostly (FPS) gamers and/or 2K YouTube vloggers.

Not (real-life) ballers, who have played 'organized' basketball on a few different levels... but may ALSO happen to be avid video gamers. :smh:

The BIGGEST problem imo... 2K fixes the obvious (easy-to-find) flaws... but they NEVER seem to ever fix the stuff that completely VIOLATES the rules of basketball itself, or HINDERS 'the flow of the game'. 2K needs to fix the stuff that 'comes naturally' to real-life ballers, once and forever.

OUR CPU Teammates Need to be CODED to share the same BASIC set of basketball skills, which include:

  1. Leaving your FEET for a rebound.
  2. 'Running hard' on every play. (At both ends of the court.)
  3. 'Giving a fuck' about winning & losing.
  4. Knowing where the 'restricted zone' is. (And not trying to 'draw a charge' in it.)
  5. Knowing what causes a 'backcourt' violation.
  6. Knowing that the point guard (or superstar) controls the pace. If he RUNS... DO NOT WALK, JOG or WATCH. :smh:
  7. Putting a hand up on defense if someone is taking a layup / or jumper right in your face, instead of just watching them with your arms at your sides. :smh:
  8. Have a 'sense of urgency' if we are down 10+ points, or more BUT there is still enough time left to make a 'comeback'. :smh: (See #3 and #6, above)
  9. Be able to perform a STRONG 'dropstep dribble', at ANY size/height.
  10. Going after loose balls aggressively.
  11. Boxing out for rebounds.
  12. Going up STRONG when attacking the basket.
  13. Taking shots when they are WIDE OPEN, instead of WAITING for defenders to recover.
  14. Staying with an opponent, on defense. (No 'double-teaming' that has NOT been called for. :hmm:)
  15. Knowing how to run a cut (or catch a pass) IN FRONT of a defender. Not BEHIND him. :smh:

If 2K added these 15 basic gameplay elements to the MyCareer mode... :itsawrap::yes:

They already got everything else needed because 2K been making this game for YEARS.

But this is stuff ANY 'real baller' would spot in just 1 or 2 days of solid playtesting.

pissed, still aint got my shoe deal

What's your stats like?
Did you get the cut scene when your agent EVER mentions 3 different 'options' (Adidas, Nike, Jordan) he will work on? And says it might take 'some time' because Jackson Ellis controls the relationship with Nike & Jordan.

This is not the 'official' shoe deal cut scene. :smh: but you can still get the kicks.

If you chose one of the 3 brands... Exit MyCareer mode >> Go to the Shoe Creator >> Create a Custom shoe for the brand you chose >> go back to MyCareer mode >> and you can buy it in the store.

You create / wear both 'home' and 'away' kicks this way.

I did this. Chose Adidas. Because I didn't want Jackson Ellis' trifling ass dictating WHEN I get my shoes.

Had custom kicks for the whole year.

And the 'official' shoe deal cut scene happened in the NEXT season.

Me too

BTW, I think the shoe deal is tied to your stats, your average 'coaching grade', your average 'teammate grade' and your TOTAL number of fans. (If so, you gotta be doing well ALL AROUND to get a shoe deal. Not just on the court. :dunno:)

SIDENOTE: Pretty sure you can 'create a shoe' at ANYTIME.

- If you just create one (without a shoe deal) you have to spend (7500?) VC to buy it in the MyCareer store.

- But if you have a 'shoe deal', you get the kicks for FREE in the MyCareer store. (and btw, the 'tv commercial' is a NICE TOUCH!! I give 2k props for that idea )

You ol Chris Webber ass nigga. I beat you right after that game and i've gotten 10 times better since then. Stop running.....

Its clear 2k don't care about us Brothas. :(

They on some Nba live shit this year. :smh:

Naw, LIVE never violated like 2k and you hit nail on head, these dudes clearly cannot play basketball in real life and HATE those who can.

They coded a game to snag and resist you trying to move in any sensible basket IQ manner, there never is a flow of basketball.

It's the AI just being BANE-boosted and your players and you being zapped with dog collar from start to finish and every call going in AI favor.

They will never fix those things because it is premeditated and malicious coding on their part.

But notice its called a "Bling pack" and not a "Jewelry pack"

I'd fuck them up for real, for real. They been playing us.

Did they remove the defense sliders and replace it with the emphasis approach?

And how do you choose your emphasis approach.

Pause the game then go to options. Switch points of emphasis to manual. When you are playing hit the right button on the d pad abd the point of emphasis menu will pop up on your screen.

Around 11 p.m. Thursday, I nearly lost it. The servers kept kicking me off, and I kept restarting. The seventh straight disconnect brought me perilously close to hurling something expensive and smashy across the room. "I can't discuss this rationally right now," I told a friend offering advice over email.

I was not playing a video game. I was trying to download OS X Mavericks to do a clean reinstallation on my sludged-up three-year-old iMac. Even this. I thought. Even trying to download a goddamn operating system.

October was a terrible month for the online gaming experience, as sports fans well know. NBA 2K15 brought the same empty promises of improved online support that it makes every year. Worse, NBA 2K15 doubled down with ambitiously expanded features like MyPark, when it appears it had no way of guaranteeing that would work any better than last year's online modes.

I'm not sure if things really have improved for NBA 2K15 or if the noise has simply died down from user fatigue, but there is no reason to trust this series will ever have anything shorter than a three-week post-launch window where large chunks of the game are unreliable, if not inaccessible. The online failures absolutely kneecapped what should have been 2014's Sports Video Game of the Year. NBA 2K15 got eight day-of-release reviews scored 90 or better. It currently Metacritics at 83, its lowest score in five years, because later reviews had a chance to see the online problems and properly handed out harsh grades.

If the disappointing review scores aren't enough to jerk a knot in some shot-caller with 2K Games, then maybe what happened this week to Evolve, 2K's upcoming four-on-one monster-hunting romp, will.

The PlayStation 4 rolled out a new firmware package earlier this week that is just shot through with contemptible failure, from its completely useless YouTube sharing feature to a needlessly altered "Rest Mode" that appears to crash the entire console if a disc is in the slot. 2K politely pointed to this update as the reason Evolve's alpha cannot run on PS4, (it briefly dinged Destiny, after all) and said it was working with Sony on a solution.

I can't be the only one hoping that involved a lot of hold music with technical support.

It sure sucks when the thing you were promised just shows up broken, doesn't it? You're powerless and taken for granted. You're subordinated to the priorities of some big corporation with its own ideas for how people should use what it makes. Ain't that right, 2K?

Those feelings have defined the righteously pissed-off video gamer for far longer than "GamerGate" has been a thing, and I wonder how many people at a major publisher and studio are feeling them this weekend. In addition to being a valuable data-gathering experience for Turtle Rock Studios, Evolve's "Big Alpha" was also a major promotional opportunity for 2K Games. It was supposed to end today. It's officially been postponed on the PS4; who knows if it'll actually ever run on that platform.

I don't want to write that this kind of thing is "the new normal" because that communicates some acceptance of an unacceptable relationship. But if Electronic Arts can weather the embarrassments of Battlefield 4 and SimCity from 2013 and be OK, there's no reasonable expectation that any of this will change. NBA 2K14 went through a horrid six weeks after its launch on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 last year, but still touted to investors all the microtransaction money it was making in the three quarters that followed.

In addition to riding out this fiasco with firmware 2.00 (hint: don't ever use "rest mode," for any reason) Sony appears content to write off the failure of DriveClub, which still can't get its act together. The free edition of that game, promised to PlayStation Plus subscribers and now indefinitely postponed, is the least of Sony's worries. More relevant would be what Sony does, if anything, for those who spent $60 on a game predicated on social interaction and online play, and who still can't access those features a month after its launch.

If this is a new normal, it means no one should be buying anything with substantial online components on the day of release — certainly not digitally, which doesn't offer a disappointed gamer the chance to trade in the game and recover at least some partial store credit for another, non-broken game whose singleplayer modes aren't hitched to a server. Intriguingly, it makes the preview weekend that EA Sports offers through the EA Access program a useful try-before-you-buy window, and not just for those who subscribe. If subscribers take to forums to complain about online troubles in their preview weekend, you know to stay away. That said, EA Sports' online components have been as close to bulletproof as anything in the segment.

Everyone wants this stuff to work, and I think sports gamers are tolerant of the idea that, in filling the contractual obligation to their leagues to launch each year, there's no chance for sports games to beta-test online features. That doesn't mean it's acceptable to place more of the experience behind an online connection, and hype the hell out of those features, when last year's edition couldn't get the job done.

And if a publisher isn't going to learn from that mistake, then seeing one feel some of the pain and controller-throwing disappointment that its customers have experienced is good enough for now. Who knows, maybe a console maker will actually listen to it, too. No one seems to be listening to us.

Ok I'm not off to a great start in online quick matches. I'm 2 & 2. Lost my last two both going into overtime. Didn't know 2K added tech's if you call a TO when you're out.:hmm:

Lost my second game to this bum using the post fade away exploit.

He's not lying. :smh:

The next-gen version is COMPLETELY different.

The players can't play DEFENSE as well as they can on the 360 or PS3, because they don't pivot, or accelerate as fast as they once did in the past. :smh:

The game is completely geared towards offense. Defense has suffered badly.

Get ready to see A WHOLE LOT of bullshit online... like folks blowing right past you while your player is 'stuck in the mud', unable to 'change direction' to keep up.

Running 3-pointers, unstoppable hop-steps, contested shots that go in at a ridiculous rate, bench players giving out buckets like Jordan, contact layups that never get called as 'fouls'. :smh:

If you are a 'defensive minded' player, it's very aggravating 'how slow' your best defenders will react to any 'change of direction'.

There is a REASON (next-gen version) 2k15 got the lowest score in a DECADE.

You gon learn today.

Unless you cop the game after the patch drops. That might change the 'state of play' today.

 Damn sounds fucked up. I'm still go be handing out those L's though

Any word on when they're adding a new patch?

I was planning on copping this for the One on Friday, but now I'm still not sure. It still sounds fucked up.

2K needs to patch the make contact layups accuracy of the cpu. Not to mention those one legged faedaways everyone shoots as is there Dirk. You have to constantly play help defense to keep the cpu from making every shot.
