Nas Ready For War W/ 50 Cent

As if 50 Cent doesn't have enough enemies to contend with - Young Buck, The Game, Fat Joe and Shaniqua Tompkins - Nas is throwing his hat in the ring as another adversary for the G-Unit general. Apparently Nas is finally ready to take aim at Fif after being on the receiving end of many insults over the past few years. On the track "Queens Get The Money" from his much anticipated album Untitled, Nas seemingly fires a dart at the fellow Queens native. Though he doesn't directly call out 50, it can be assumed from lyrics like this.

"Niggas is still hatin/talkin that Nas done fell off with rhyming /he'd rather floss with diamonds/they pray please god let him spit that oozie in the army lining that shorty doo-wop rolling oowops in the park reclining take twenty-seven mc's put em /in a line and they out of alignment/my assignment said she said retirement hiding behind 8 Mile and The Chronic/get rich but dies rhyming/this is high science/now add 23 more from queens to b'more/i'm over they heads like a bulimic on a seesaw/now that's 50 porch monkeys ate up at the same time"

Uh oh. Could we be on the verge of "Ether 2?" 50 better be careful here. He has to take into account he's never been to war with anyone like Nas. While he's bumped heads (pause) with Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Jadakiss, The Game, and now Young Buck, Nas has been to battle with Notorious B.I.G and Jay-Z. There is no question Escobar would be his toughest lyrical competition to date.

oh please nas just threw him a jab I dont think nas would waste his time with another "rap beef"

Man...I hope not...Nas could eat him but I thought he buried the hatchet...I am tired of cats flip flopping with this beef shit...

This shit is media driven. If Nas wanted to ether 50 cent he would be ethered. End of story.

I think it would interesting to see them dudes go head to head. Beef only seems wack now because its been between wack niggas or cause one nigga slaughters the other. But when two dudes thats legit get into it brings out the best in both of them. Big vs Pac, Jay vs Nas, LL vs Canibus, The Roc vs. World. Who doesn't wanna hear flows similar to that again:yes:

pussy ass nigga nas aint ready for no war
u meant to say that nigga ready to make money off 50 cent
nas is a $ feen...... till the point he'll do watever to sell records now

would be a nice battle...but i doubt it happens if it does it will be fun to listen to...beefing with nas might force 50 to step his game up....might be good for hip hop...

And Nas still in the same perdicurment when he first got signed. Thats one hypocritical dude.

50 would not have a chance. His best bet is to go back in his ol days like when he did Ja in. On some Back Down shit.

You can't Ether a nigga who's one of the most powerful artist in HipHop. Nas ethered Jayz and where did that get Jayz? matter of fact he SIGNED NAS to def jam.
Dog I don't give a fuck how powerful you think 50 is nigga I'm just trying to hear a good diss. Ether is the shit and there needs to be a sequel. Ya'll get too caught up with the drama. Why can't you just sit back and be entertained? That's what these mothafuckas do for a living. ENTERTAIN.

Calm down nigga it aint that serious. Yea ether is top notch no doubt about that but at the same time where did it get jayz? it surely aint hurt him

Ever just clown a nigga for the fuck of it? Didn't matter if it was true or not? As long as you enjoying yaself man thats all that matters. I was a big Jigga fan then when Ether hit, shit made me think 'Wow Jigga done fucked with the wrong nigga...' Nas clowned Jigga so hard he was crying on the radio. I couldn't believe my ears...

CO-SIZZLE!
PLUZ! DUDE GOT ABOUT!
:hmm:

U CAN'T PUT A NIGGA ASLEEP WITH THAT TYPE OF DOUGH!
BIG MONEY ALWAYZ TAKE SMALL MONEY!

I mean really I think you gotta seperate Beef from lyrically assasinating someone, I mean it would be like a dude with a PHD arguing with a dude who can't read good if it became a lyrical thing, but beef is where 50 would wanna keep it, he can make up some shit about Nas in the Hood, say he got more money sold more records, stuff like that anything but lay something down lyrically that could compete.

Thats why the jay/nas thing was special it was lyrical back to the old tradition not just some dude taping conversations and getting at dude outside of rhyming to clown someone thats where 50 wants to be. Not locking horns in battle, he don't want it there.

so the measure of his skill is his wallet at this point. but that ain't the only measure of a man though something Nas would surely point out lyrically.

Nah seriously, I don't care if it was true or not. People love debating about that. All I care about is that the song is brilliant. 'I fuck with your soul like Ether WILL show you the king you know you NOT God's son across the belly LOSE I'll prove you lost already.' Shit look at the creativity put into the chorus of that man and all the disses was fucking hilarious! Tai Bo Ho? WTF? LOL This nigga Jigga crying on Angie's radio show. Ah man he shouldn't have even said anything. That's why I want Nas to diss 50 bad, I wanna see what 50 would do.

Ether did in fact hurt Jay-Z. He literally was gonna break down crying, the way he was stuttering and was at a complete loss of words after Ether came out -- when Angie Martinez interviewed him on Hot 97. I was shocked.

Now if you mean it didn't hurt Jay-Z career wise or financially -- nah it didn't. Because in the music business, the only person that can hurt an artist is that artist himself. No artist can really damage or better yet, destroy anyone's career. An artist's career is completely based on their ability to continue to make good music. Because the fans aren't loyal to the artists -- but to the music. The minute an artist starts making garbage, the masses will run away cuz fans are fickle as fuck.
