Who gives a shit about mifuune or those cloud ninja's
To me the character development seems so shitty to me.... Kishi has this great character base to work with in Konoha....
and he doesnt do shit with it!!!

I agree especially with the character development I dont understand why you introduce all these good characters but hardly have no back story for them(especially for Shino and Hanabi).

early on in the show they had Shino soundin like he was going to be the coldest, most ruthless and calculating ninja out there....sort of like Shikamaru but with a spine and some lethality.....and they dont do shit with him!
Fuckin Hanabi beasts on Hinata, is taught by the Hyuuga Clan leader personally,is there during the chuunin exam lookin like "im not impressed" and you dont hear shit about her.... honestly most people probably forgot who she is....

Im still want more on the Hyuga clan I mean it was said the Sharingan dervive from the Byakagan way in the beginning and yet you dont have no mention of it with the Sharingan and the Rinnegan

One Piece had very good action in it and had people dying all over the place but so far in Naruto its mostly people talking atleast 2 chapters.How the hell you have time to talk during a war.....
That war in One Piece impressed me alot
I can see why alot of my friends think One Piece is better than Bleach and Naruto....better story development,better characters and better plot...Kishimoto better step his game up because he's not in Oda's league at all.

I understand what you're saying but they still was fighting...I mean look what happened in the past few chapters of Naruto it was mostly talking..You mean to tell me you fighting 2 known strong ninjas who was in the Kyuubi's stomach and yet you gonna try to talk to them.
Kishimoto's fighting scene is always slow,this is why I dont understand why the anime have fillers because its over a year behind in the manga....Normally you have fillers when the anime is catching up to the manga.

Most of the talking had to do with strategy, yea you had the bullshit with Kin & Gin but for the most part it's been about strategy.
One thing I'll give Naruto (not the character, but the manga, at least the first part of the manga.) credit for is not being a straight forward punch and kick your opponent to win.
But I do agree with you about the slow fights, if they could condense the jutsu analysis portion and fill it with a couple flashy moves, everything might flow a bit better.

if they just used flashy jitsu then the comic would be done already... i agree there is a lot of characters and story line but in the end they all add to the main storyline even if it is stupid that we have to read filler episodes.
Mifuune a fucking nobody defeated Hanzou. Who is a zombie and has no limits, who when he was alive deafeat the Sannin by himself?

Well I can understand Him losing to Pain he's a beast, but not this mifuune guy.
I understand why. He is too biased with his writing. If it were, he would not have this problem. You can't be biased when writing. If so, you run the risk of overpowering or under powering characters among other things. He probably has a bunch of fanboys in his corner rooting him on instead of providing constructive criticism.
Now I wonder who will beat Pain and Itachi who were damn near unbeatable when they were alive and should be unstoppable now
Part of the problem is the publisher,I remember a few years ago Kishimoto said during an interview he said the publisher have some say which direction the story should go....I remember Kishimoto saying that a few months after he introduce Team Hawk,the publisher wanted him to do atleast a year of story on them.....I was like WTF.......
Knowing Kishimoto he will have the Konohamaru Corps beat both of them.

Yeah the editor do get a say,i remember kishimoto said he wanted tsunade to get the first punch on pain. But the editor said no naruto should get it

That what i like about this the most anyone can win any fight, luck, strategy, motivation all play into every fight. Pein got bet by naruto because he firgured out the guys game plan and neutralized all Peins skills, Jiraiya beat pain too, but lost because he didn't know that there was 6 of them. Plus Pain had no idea how strong naruto got after he was in full sage mode, he didn't know how long it lasted for or that he could sommon himself as a new sage.
it chess not checkers a king can get taken out by a pawn if your strategy is good. i hated DragonBallZ because all you ever need to do to bet the person was to have i higher level so every time Kirlen would go out to fight it was like what for your power level is max out at 500 and Goku all ready at 50000

OK! I will be real with you, and tell you that you are a much bigger fan of comics then i am, this board (thank you BgoL) got me interested in comics, sence ive been on this forum i have read all of the walking dead, mr invincable, claymore and seen all the anima, and all of naruto and seen all the episodes and deadpool
But i would have to say the Naruto is not a hard comic to follow, the story lines are simple but interesting and not interesting because the story line is so complex...
Naruto has to prove to Sasuske that he is willing to give his life to save him even if that mean he will protect him from himself, THAT JUST HIS NINJA WAY!!! That what killed Pain, he didn't lose to Naruto He gave up to protect Jiraiya vision THAT JUST HIS NINJA WAY!!!!
And the story talk alot about the next generation growing up to be better then the past generation Shikamaru Nara episodes you must protect the KING in those episodes everyone playing right now is just a chest piece but the King is the next generation
Naruto's way of the ninja makes no fuckign sense, not only has sasuke tried to kill Naruto multiple times he wants to destroy Konoha and he even tried to kill the Sakura. Yes get the whole ninja way bullshit but naruto is basically saying Sasuke's life is worth more than the thousands living in Konoha, not to mention all the other people Sasuke has killed but I guess their lives dont mean shit because they weren't friends. Its like those american cartoons with the good guys catching the bad guys then letting them go so they can cause destruction another day, because if they should dare to put a stop to the bad guys for good they would be no better than them, what kinda shit is that?
Well about Sakura she was plotting to murder Sasuke So he cant really be faulted for a preemptive strike. Alot of people use that as proof of Sasuke's evilness but its like when Mike killed Snoop, the bitch was plotting on him.
Sasuke hasnt even really killed that many people. He killed Danzo, some random samurai, and maybe a cloud ninja who was following him. Orochimaru got absorbed and everyone else seemed to get themselves killed in his fights.
Naruto dont have to prove Sasuke nothing because the story is name "Naruto" not "Sasuke"
Again is you happy how the story is turning out because I thought when the war started Kishimoto would finally get off his lazy ass and write better but it only gotten worse.

Naruto is the first manga I've ever read(started reading it in the summer of 2006) but overtime the writing gotten worse.Kishimoto does everything in his power to hype up the Uchiha clan(especially Itachi,Madara and Sasuke) but forget about the other characters in the story..Their was a time when Naruto was out of the manga for a couple of months because Kishimoto wants to hype up Sasuke.
Way in the beginning it was said that the Sharingan was derived from the Byakugan, fast forward when Madara talked to Naruto during the Kage Summit(will be showed next week in the anime) all of a sudden it evolved from the Rinnegan...This manga has been inconsistent for the past 3 years because Kishimoto wants to hype of Sasuke because he's the fan favorite in Japan.
Kishimoto is willing to fuck up his manga just to please the Sasuke fanboys and its a shame because when I first read Naruto I thought the manga was really good but now the story is horrible.
Most of the blame isnt on Kishimoto, the editor have some blame also because he have some say into but ultimately its Kishimoto fault...As a writer you cant allow fans fuck up the story you want to tell.(I understand writers change some stuff around to benefit the story but ultimately they dont butcher most of their story to satisfy the masses)
1.) Nofrillz, you and I are on the same page when it comes to this. In this manga, almost anyone can beat anyone else based largely on two things: Will of Fire and match ups. This manga has pounded the idea of this into it's readers heads from day one. We have seen time and time again, that a genin, with a just cause and fighting for something other then themselves, can even beat an S-ranked ninja.
Add to that, the edo's powers/techniques are well known by all of the squadrons which gives them a huge advantage on how to beat them.

Mifune was not only a samurai --the manga clearly states that samurai were bred to fight ninja and that no country in the manga wanted a piece of the iron country-- but he was the LEADER of the samurai nation. So basically, it was a Kage level cat fighting another Kage level cat. Not some powerful ninja fighting some scrub ass. The 2nd part to the equation is that Mifune would not allow Hanzo to use ninjutsu because of his mastery of IAI. Do cats not understand how big of a thing that is? Hanzo got a huge portion of his repertoire of attacks nullified because of that. Take half of Naruto's most powerful attacks away from him and how well would he have done against Pain? Plus, this fight ain't over. Hanzo is an edo, he's just going to reform and come back for round two.

I will say this to you like I said to Nofrillz,do you think its appropriate for a teenage kid who can barely mold his chakra beat someone with years of experience in the ninja world..
I would understand if Naruto can mold his chakra decently but he still have the same problems he had at the beginning not being able to control his chakra and yet he can beat Pein
I have no problem with him beating Zabuza,Gaara, and Kakazu(even though he had help)but beating Pein really
