In my opinion, Itachi gave up in that fight. He was really just testing Sasuke. You know if he had really wanted to kill him he would've done so. Did he even
use Amaterasu in that fight??? Shit...Itachi was nearly blind with an illness
and he still gave Sasuke a run for his money

He used all three Mangekyo Sharingan jutsu's

He used Tsukuyomi on Sasuke but it got countered somehow ,Amaterasu was the black flames and Susanoo was the last one..

Ahh shit Blaq you fell for the Sasuke hype. You really believe that Deidara is one of the stronger Akatuski members? Sasuke bare survived that fight. Shit, Sasuke dam near lost aganist Itachi trying to let his ass win. And the Killerbee fiscao poor guy was way in over his head (that wwhole fight made no fucking sense anyway.)

If Sasuke fought Naruto right now, ain't no way in hell Naruto should lose, Sage mode made too strong, too fast and too durable.

I knew this was gonna be trend when Sasuke was gettin his ass kicked by Gaara way back in the beginning....but it started when Sasuke saw what could of happend to him if Naruto did Rasengan on him....That big hole in that water tank gave Kishimoto an excuse to give Sasuke a heavy push in the storyline....

I can't believe you even said this. If Sasuke arrived at the fight against Itachi in a wagon with no arms and legs he would've still killed him. Itachi was already a dying man and he had 4 goals in his fight with Sasuke
1. free him of orochimaru
2. free him of the curse mark
3. allow him to have his revenge
4. make him look like a hero to Konoha

That's why Itachi prolonged the battle and used so many of his powerful attacks, but made sure they didnt kill him.
When Sasuke was drained/tired/spent, it enabled Orochimaru to escape from Sasuke's Sharingan control.


Itachi plan was never to "kill" Saskue.
Sasuke was Itachi's main reason for living at that point.
He just wanted to drain Saskue. His real goal was to draw out & kill Orochimaru.
If Itachi wanted, he could have killed Sasuke...........even Itachi's fellow Akatsuki member Zetsu, who was watching the fight, commented to Madara that for some reason Itachi was holding back in the fight.

Also, Itachi knew his death was near because of his "illness".
Up until that point he was really only alive to make sure the Elders of Konoha kept there promise and watched over Saskue while he grew up.
That was his only request to the elders in return for killing the Uchiha clan and keeping the Elders secret.


When Saskue went rouge, you saw Itachi become more active.
So with Itachi knowing he was dying of the" mysterious illness" and going blind, he saw Naruto as someone who could take on that duty and watch/care for Saskue when he was gone.
(Also why he gave Naruto that "special Power" that would be useful against Sasuke)

So his last fight with Sasuke was more like a " going away present", by ridding him of Orochimaru and his "Cursed Seal".

Good breakdown. I wonder how that special power that Itachi gave Naruto will come into play. Perhaps it will be a way for Naruto to counter the effects of the Sharingan the next time those two square off.

You can definitely add One Piece to that list. I like how Eiichiro Oda paces the storyline. Never focuses on just one character too long. Also opens the door on certain secrets of the manga while creating new ones thus keeping the reader interested. That plus there are so many interesting characters that you want to know the history behind & their relation to other characters in the series. One of the main reasons why I love Berserk (one of my all time fav manga along with Lone Wolf & Cub, Vagabond, Kenshin & Blade of the Immortal).

Yeah... I might have to follow if that does go down. He practically got his chest blown out by Killerbee who is supposed to be weaker than his older brother the Raikage. He hasn't fought anyone since him so can't say that he got any power ups or anything - aside from the ominous looking black figure (I guess representing that his chakra has gotten darker... ) behind him. It should end with Sasuke either retreating or getting his chest blown out... yet again. He has been way in over his head for quite sometime now.

Hell... I'm still kinda miffed about the fact that Kishi hit the reset button with Pain (Nagato) bringing back all the people he killed when he destroyed Konoha. Could have been carried out the same way, but have it so that in addition to Nagato sacrificing his life with his chakra levels being so low - that an added drawback would be that random people outside the village would die so that their lifeforce would be given to those who fell in battle with Pain.

I didn't fall for any hype bro, I'm just really tired of Kishi's overwhelming 'love' for his favorite character, when ironically the manga is named after a different hero. I'm reading this chapter and to be earnest I haven't gotten any real sense of development of Naruto apart from the time when Jiraya died, to me when he found out that his father was the 4th Hokage after my fight with Pain & being the 'true' hero of Konoha i would've said Fuck you Sasuke & train my ass off learning all of my dad's old moves plus the countless other secret jutsus' I had stolen as a child plus combining that with my Natural chakra or whatever the fuck you call that thing I would've been unstoppable cause let's face it Madara is coming. To add to my previous point at one stage of Naruto's life he was wondering who his parents where after finding out about his dad don't you find its odd that he never bothered about trying to find out about his mother ?

well naruto did have a better chance at the time. He is a jinnkuri or how ever you spell it. its not like Naruto won by luck. he really turned that fight around. i would go so far as to say he owned Gaara. It was his first real accomplishment if you dont count the fights with neji or kiba.

Its true his father has the senju blood in him & his mom is from the Rain Village the same one that Madara's the Hokage of from what I read somewhere Naruto's supposed to be able to have a BloodLine Limit similar to that guy he fought who could've done the ice chakra justsus' but as I've stated many times to me Kishimoto is not showing the development of Naruto to that point. When Kishi had started writing his manga you got the sense of teamwork & the point of a 'unit' now to me its all about crying & following Sasuke's nutsack !
