Having alot of strength isnt the only prerequisite being a Hokage.....
Hell,Shikamaru and Kakashi are very similar,the only difference Kakashi has alot more experience than Shikamaru....With that said,I seriously doubt,Shikamaru would want to be Hokage,since he's not big on doing alot of work....
Having a lot of a power isn't the ONLY requisite as Hokage. But it's a big damn major 1.
The First Hokage backstory kinda set up Sauske's announcement....it makes sense in that regard, even tho him saying it aloud is insane....

Yeah but most of the time as hokage is gonna be in the office making plans and shit and sending people on missions, for all that i'd want shikamaru handling everything. For any serious battles i'd get super saiyajin Naruto and Sasuke to handle it with shikamaru's strategies.
i never said it was the only prerequisite...but its very important....especially when someone is planning a takeover which is all the damn time
although they are both smart..... kakashi's power shits on shikamaru also shikamaru is only a far range fighter...where as kakashi can do either or...they really cant compared...you really cant even compare shikamaru's fighting power to any of the past hokages

How do we know,Shikamaru cant develop better techniques though,I agree that Kakashi is stronger now even he said that the next generation of ninjas are stronger than the current generation(meaning him,Gai, and etc)....
Tsunsade is a short range fighter but cant do shit while long range.....but still being the Hokage of the Leaf village.
Hokage's dont really fight,unless there is a threat to the village(maybe Im wrong about that one

Really? Its taking the combination of all the different villages to to fight Madara and I'm sure it would have been the same to Fight Hashirama. Naruto who is their mvp is on;y worth the chakra that is given to him by the nine tails so sorry this new generation aint shit.

Most of the people that's fighting in the war are teenage kids,who has never been to war in their lives,until now....People like Kakashi,Gai,and many of the grown ups has war experience...
Im not going to knock that against them,my main gripe with the war is that nobody relevant hasnt died.....Shittymoto,should just kill off Tenten,because she's the shittiest person in the series,why is she still alive,while these "elite" S-rank ninjas get sealed off against this teenagers that can barely do anything..
