Den of thieves
Winchester
Greatest Show (wife uses cars)
Game Night (twice with wife)
Wrinkle in time

had it about 2 months.
none of the movies I've seen on the pass I would check for otherwise.

saw bp twice outta poceket (3D and opening day with tix in advance)

planning on seeing Pacific Rim this weekend and maybe Tomb Raider.

My goal is to see 52 movies this year on Moviepass...one a week average, then I will feel I got my value out of it. I've already seen over 100.00 worth of movies and I don't give a damn that they are losing money on my deal, I just hope they figure it out and stay around. Some GREAT movies coming up this year and I plan to use Moviepass for each and every one of them!

I see my movies at Studio Movie Grill or Regal Cinemas...SMG I always eat at, so they still making good money off me. Regal I get points from each time I go, so every other movie I seem to get a free popcorn or soda, can't beat that.

I haven't heard of Isle of Dogs or Winchester, bout to view the trailers and see where I can find them in my area

Death Wish
Black Panther
Den Of Thieves
Kingsmen: The Golden Circle
All the Money in the World
Thor Ragnarock
Justice League

Gonna start using it more often....feels like I've been slacking a bit

Winchester out of theatres
was a horror flick with gun violence overturned. Was the 1st flick I saw with moviepass. It wasn't bad but not worth real money.

Death Wish
Black Panther
Den Of Thieves
Kingsmen: The Golden Circle
All the Money in the World
Thor Ragnarock
Justice League

I think they bank on ppl using it like a gym membership. Ppl pay for it but don't use it

I try to use at least twice a month

They are trying to sell your data to make money, that is worth much more obviously than the max number of movies you could see in a year (365). They track your movements, what movie you saw etc and sell that info to studios for upcoming movies, nearby restaurants, etc.

And they know few if any will see the max...hell, it's hard to commit to going to the movies even once a week for me, the time commitment is a lot.

they have started banning people for "abusing" the service and giving some bogus reason.

alot of the people said they were using it 5-7 times a week. i read about it on reddit.

You can use it once per day but some people are trying to book a movie, cancel and get a refund in dollars or things like that.

I've used it once to purchase 2 tix to the same show

there are a lot of workarounds if you willing to put in the work/research

Anyone else get this bogus email where you have to submit pictures of your ticket stubs when you buy tickets.

I haven't even abused the service or used any hacks. Not one time.

WTF?

MoviePass service. We are implementing a few systems to protect our service from fraudulent activity to ensure that MoviePass is sustainable for the entire community. As part of this initiative, we will soon begin testing some new safeguards.

Starting over the next few days, each time you purchase a movie ticket with your MoviePass card, you will be asked to upload a photo of your ticket stub. This photo needs to be uploaded before you're able to purchase your next movie ticket through MoviePass. You'll be prompted to submit the photo of your ticket stub through the MoviePass app. This feature will help us better track user behavior and ensure that subscribers are abiding by our Terms of Use. We appreciate your cooperation as we test out this new process

Winchester
Den of Thieves
Greatest Showman
Game Night
Wrinkle in Time
Pacific Rim
Quiet Place
Blockers

have had it since February, average about 3 movies a month and all the flicks on this list I wouldn't have seen in theatres without MP

The problem is only certain people are getting that new stipulation.

I am the only one that I know personally that has gotten and I know a few people withe MP.

I got it too. there's a thread about it on reddit. It's standard, no issues there. Some people have reported the that app crashes and doesn't upload the ticket stubs correctly so you might want to keep your tickets stubs for a couple of days before throwing it away.

Thor Ragnarok
Justice League
Last Jedi
Black Panther x11

I paid to see BP 3 times, then bought tix on the MoviePass every time I was near the theater. I already pre-ordered Infinity War tickets, but I'm sure viewings 2-4 will be on the MoviePass.

Oops. Hope I don't get hit with that.

Black Panther - I've swiped a couple of times while I was there to see a IMAX movie just to support
Death Wish
Truth Or Dare
Strangers
Rampage
Pacific Rim
A Quiet Place
Red Sparrow
Game Night
Molly's Game
Annihilation

MoviePass Auditor Raises ‘Substantial Doubt’ About Subscription Business

An independent auditor has raised “substantial doubt” about MoviePass’s ability to continue operating as “a going concern” in financial documents made public by Helios & Matheson Analytics, the subscription service’s parent company.

In addition, Helios & Matheson revealed that it has lost $150.8 million in 2017, which it ascribed to its acquisition of MoviePass. Helios & Matheson CEO Ted Farnsworth told Business Insider that $110 million of the loss is non-cash. It’s still a much bigger number than the loss of $7.4 million that the company reported before it acquired MoviePass.

Revenues for the company were approximately $10.4 million, up from roughly $6.8 million for 2016. As of December, Helios & Matheson said there was $54.4 million of deferred revenue related to MoviePass subscriptions.

Helios & Matheson said that MoviePass will have a need for additional funding and will have net losses for the foreseeable future. In a recent interview with Variety, MoviePass CEO Mitch Lowe predicted that the company will be profitable by 2019. Farnsworth also said he had sufficient financial resources at his disposal to tide MoviePass over until it is in the black. He said that he had raised $280 million and secured a $375 million line of credit since buying MoviePass in August.

In the report, the company’s auditor Rosenberg Rich Baker Berman & Co. notes that Helios & Matheson “has suffered recurring losses from operations and negative cash flows from operating activities,” adding that “this raises substantial doubt about the company’s ability to continue as a going concern.”

MoviePass has attracted more than 2 million subscribers since slashing prices and offering a monthly plan for $9.95. Users can see a movie-a-day in return for signing up for the service. MoviePass pays most theaters full price for the tickets its subscribers buy, meaning it is heavily subsidizing movie-going — a strategy that the company acknowledges is leading to losses.

“MoviePass currently spends more to retain a subscriber than the revenue derived from that subscriber and MoviePass other sources of revenue are currently inadequate to offset or exceed the costs of subscriber retention,” the filing reads. “This results in a negative gross profit margin. MoviePass expects its negative gross profit margin to remain significant until MoviePass can sufficiently increase its other sources of revenues to offset the losses or achieve substantial economies of scale.”

Helios & Matheson said that at the end of the year it had $24.9 million in cash-on-hand and approximately $27.5 million in accounts receivable. Shares of the company were down 2.75% in pre-market trading at $3.85. Shares of Helios & Matheson rose last week after Verizon disclosed that it had purchased a 9% stake in the company.

Hope they make it. I'm rooting for them.

I am too, so I can keep using it
Same here. Admittedly I've seen a lot of movies but since black panther came out I've only paid for Black Panther, A Wrinkle in Time and Rampage. Every other movie I've seen I paid for Black Panther and walked into that movie - last night I did it with Ready Player One (plus I grabbed the 3D glasses from my car and saw all ready player one in 3D).

But here's my history:
The mountain between us
Thor Ragnarok
Just getting started (Morgan Freeman Rene Russo and Tommy Lee Jones)
Marshall
Molly's game
Proud Mary
Den of Thieves
Black Panther
A Wrinkle in Time
Death wish
Tomb Raider
Game night (fucking hilarious)
Rampage
Coco
Annihilation (a very confusing twisted crazy thought-provoking kind of movie)
