Re: is anyone having an issue adding the content stuff to final cut?
You dont need to burn them to disk. Here's what you do:
1. Mount every iso/dmg file (Final Cut, Audio Contents, DvD Studio, and Motion)
2. Install initially with Final Cut
3. Installation should run smoothly b/c all image files have been mounted (Apple created a trick for installations to fail as the program is being installed) so the trick is to mount all files before installing.
if any other help is needed, please refer as you did in this thread, peace!
so i downloaded all the final cut stuff.
burned them to disks.
but everytime i try to install i get installation failed.
i did a search on the web and there was suggestion to add all the main programs (i.e final cut, soundtrack, color, compressor, etc) first and then install the content.
i tried this and all of the programs installed fine but when i try to install the content i get the installation failed error.
just trying to figure out if it is just me.
if so...i will download the links again in case some kind of way they were corrupted during the extraction but it seems weird that the other stuff installs fine.
