* WHY Puff didn't immediately record an album with the 3 of them is beyond me???:smh: This is yet another period when was taking over AGAIN!!! Yeah Puff can't rap but damn he sounded good on these records...This was one of a couple of big Bad Boy records at the time too. And the look and style and production would have really been an excellent blueprint for a big album release...that uptown sh*t.

[Black Rob - almost mumbling]
They said that I'm a Rottweiler
And I'm from the Rottweiler house,
The Rottweiler New York

[G-Dep]
Really, get smacked silly, you get smacked silly
Fucking with these niggas from the, what you gon' do
When you ready? Shit I was born ready
And I was already on fish and spaghetti
Creep with the culture, rap I can coach ya
Attack like a vulture, see what I told ya?
Said I'd get'cha, wear it if it fit ya
Y'all thirteen inches, I see the big picture
If it's to get richer, I'd probably get wit ya
If not burn it, get hot like a furnace
Shoot the video, motherfuck city permits
We own the city, on the phone with Diddy (*phone sounds*)
Red bone pretty, when she get aroused
Like to suck her own titty; put it in the video
Ya wanna holla got to follow nigga here we go
Get you ticket, the train, don't miss it
Won't reach out, and ya bet I won't visit
'til my whole wardrobe is-it, now listen

(Chorus)
Make this money, take this money (Let's get it)
Ain't no way you can take this from me (Let's get it)
Ain't shit funny (uh) shake it honey (Let's get it)
Take it money.. now let's get it (Let's get it)

[G-Dep]
Creep with your people
Though my shit is Sweet and Low it's no Equal
Front but you lookin
Once I throw the hook in proceed to get cookin
With the game when I sewed it
Since you came thought I owed you one
Wide big Lincoln, why's this guy on the side for the stinking?
Watch task force dash forward lookin marveled
It's a big chance, big pants, might guard him
With my man's type proper
Better learn quick, cause my clique don't argue
You ain't my crew, who are you? Beat it
'fore we take off make sure you all seated
In Billboard read it, believe it

(Chorus)

[G-Dep]
Soul Controller, rap Ayatollah
Kids hate me when they older I put cracks by the stroller
I'm registered voter, motherfuck a quota
Give some bakin soda and a quarter
Bet I flow straight up out the water
I'mma wreck the game 'til it say "out of order"
Put the high score up
Then tear the floor up
On the world tour with your whore out in Europe
Head on the tour bus
Do what them niggas in the drop thinks cooler
Called up five reporters to thank my supporters
Hittin wives and daughters
Brought 'em neck spray from Estee Lauders
Call Puffy to order

[P-Diddy]
Aiyyo, call me Diddy - I run this city
Send the cops, the D.A. and feds to come get me
Cats wanna leave me for dead you comin with me
Gettin head in the Bentley red at one fifty
Straight lose it, love two things my family my music
Might co-write and produce it
Drop mine, hot 9 exclusive
Got y'all Hawkin like Yusef
Cause I can, break backs and stacks it's no problem
Make raps and tracks and go Harlem
I get worldwide coverage
Got so many spots I don't even buy luggage, ya love it
Make moves major, hide out in Asia
If your girl keep comin around them I'm a blaze her
I'm the Bad Boy flavor, light blue gators
NOT GUILTY, and I'm filthy, c'mon

(Chorus)

[Black Rob (Puffy)]
I be the Eastside Soprano, Rob Marciano
Flow in e'ry channel with the Iverson handle
Forty-five sparks turn your day gray flannel
Snatch the yay of the mantle, then proceed to dismantle
Can't slay Rob
How many niggas done tried to play Rob, quit they day job
Tired of putting broke niggas under the wing
If I go to jail again I'm goin under the bing
Act like you gon' pull that thing thing
You the only one that always get stuck for bling bling
I represent "A" block in Sing Sing
Almost caught a buck fifty for fuckin a Latin King's queen
Moves for paper, booze no chaser
Bullets out the blazer four-fifth with the laser
Come and get your shit splitted, newspapers said I did it
(He ain't do it) Now let's get it (Let's get it)

(Chorus) (x3)

Re: Closest we get to a real Black & Depper album

peace

If you remember,
Black Rob kept talking about the Black & Depper album that they were to come together with probably since Life Story

After Puff's court case

Don't know when they cut this.
I see what they were trying to accomplish with the beat but it didn't do shit for how they spit (Dep & BR)

This was my shit
'Dustin like Hoffman' that Eastside shit:hmm:

Con Toca

I remember when this came out, early '00s sometime

I remember that original EveryBodyWannaShine loop they had on the unmastered but it was too raw & not cleared which was better than this to me. I have the orig Ddot shit somewhere but have to dig it up.
This was b4 any TheBand shit when they were on that Eastside ElBarrio shit

The last attempt of the team together with Puff pushing his way onto the track was on TheGodfather

Heard it first late night on KaySlay's show without the Puff verse.

Deputy, the HarlemHanglyder

RobbieO

Truth be told, these east side kats were the only clique I was looking forward to hearing from late 90s/early '00 with Loon too since the S&S tapes & when PuertoRock used to rock with BR

Loved this song. Just hearing it again, for the first time in years and years, reminds me how good it was.

I think this was the last gasp of Puffy being cool.

man This joint and special delivery was my SHIT,

my first year of college i was flying down the highways bumping this shit

that Child of the Ghetto album stayed in rotation...I think that shit was underrated

as a matter of fact I'm gonna go look for that jawn when I get home.

"Danger Zone" and "I am" with Kool G Rap were a couple of my other favourite tracks off that album

good post

DIDDY HAS REACHED OUT TO BLACK ROB FOLLOWING HOSPITALIZATION SAYS FELLOW EX-BAD BOY RAPPER
Published on: Apr 14, 2021, 12:37 PM
by Kyle Eustice

Former Bad Boy Records rapper Black Rob recently found himself in another precarious medical situation. Six years after suffering a series of strokes, the “Whoa!” rapper was back in the hospital earlier this month, sparking concern among his fans and peers alike. Although he’s since been released, a GoFundMe has been erected in Black Rob’s name to hopefully provide a little financial relief and get him back on his feet.
According to an Instagram post from fellow ex-Bad Boy rapper Mark Curry, Black Rob is currently on dialysis, which is usually the result of kidney failure. Curry also noted Bad Boy founder Diddy, who’s been under heavy scrutiny for his perceived inaction to help Black Rob, has been attempting to get in touch.
“Puffy, we need your help and you are reaching out,” Curry says in the clip. “You’re trying to help. We’re not trying to say he’s not. He’s really trying to help.”

In another Instagram video, Mark Curry thanked everyone for their support, then adding, “Also know that it’s not a sympathy case or nothing like that; he just needs that support, that love, that aid to get through during these hard times, cause you can imagine what it’s like going through dialysis and stuff and have to worry about where you’re going to put your head.”

Shortly after Black Rob was discharged from the hospital, he revealed he was in dire straits and essentially homeless.
“Oh man, I’ve been dealing with this for five years,” he said in another IG video. “Four strokes … I don’t know what to tell you man. Shit is crazy. This shit is hard. I don’t got no house to live in — except maybe an apartment. Me and my man be trying to get together. I’m telling you man, this shit is strange. It’s hard, you know what I’m saying?
“I don’t know what the people want to do, what the people going to say. I need some rest, man. Really, man. I need some rest. My side is killing me. Oh shit. I don’t want to talk about it no more.”

Black Rob spoke to Sway In The Morning about his health in 2015 as he was promoting his last album Genuine Article.
“I had high blood pressure,” Rob explained at the time. “Being that I have that, that takes a lot out of a brother. Going on tour, you don’t even know. This is a real serious… I had a stroke. Yea, I had a stroke… and ummm, I got over that. “It’s been high blood pressure and trying to stay on top of this thing.
“Being on top, it’s hard. I got over it. After [the stroke], I was in the wind. I came out of it. It’s hard, but I can do it. I had to change my health regimen and how I eat. That’s it. I’m exercising and trying to keep it up. I don’t drink no more. That right there was telling me that I had to stop. Every time I come out, I drink. I just got tired of it. Now, I’m back. I’m working against that and trying to be the best thing I can be. It’s hard.”
