I cannot argue any point I agree and its entirely possible
I said the same thing earlier but I think its a long way off
whiterose still grooming her.
Possible.
We'll have to take it a week at a time.

Ok I need you to put your TV executive, producer and director and writer hats on.
Why are the ratings so low? (although the DVR numbers are VERY good)
Are the critical accolades and awards and nominations ENOUGH?
Are you surprised by the early renewal as an EXEC do you think it was a good idea?
How do you expand this show's audience next season?
And do you LISTEN to the growing disgruntled fans?
Is the show TOO SMART and clever for its own good?

Spared HER.
Her back was turned when they came in and shot. Those dudes sprayed everyone BUT HER.
She said it herself. She was dead. Dude killed himself. The other guy. Killed himself. That sounds like instructions to me don't it to you?
And it's not about being smart it's about being interesting. Her backstory is of a person who could have easily just been Darlene. Her and Darlene are the same exact person with the same exact set of skills. That's how she knew there was a hack instantly cause... it's what she would've done.
Who better to watch everything than someone on the inside?
If the Minister of China is in on it why can't she?
She probably doesn't KNOW Minister is in on it, like nobody else does.
I agree
But a large group think they just waisted 6 weeks lol.
Not me.
Bills you might be on to something here.... Man something tells me that when this season is over I'm going to have Binge Season 1 and Season 2 back to back to be sure that I catch every single detail.
Anybody that that feels like these 6 weeks were a waste are idiots. This show is doing things that you don't see on TV. I've never seen this type of storytelling.
Some shows just don't catch on till later. Breaking Bad for example. The viewership was pretty much the same as Mr. Robots, 1-2 million viewers an episode all the way though season 4. BB's viewership never sustained over 2 million until season 5, and even dipped in season 2...although not quite as far as Mr Robots.
Hopefully USA lets it go and thinks long term. I also think some people like to wait until a shows been around for a while so the can binge watch it on Netflix or Amazon. I know I wait till the end of a season for many shows then just binge them.
You are.
I don't know if I should do this to yall but fuck it.
The real twist wasn't what was on Mr. Robot lol
That's the untapped genius of the show that I can't wait for everyone to catch up and get.
Me and the creator we are best good buds in spirit
You know what the twist was on the episode last night?
Elliot is YOU.
He's ME
He's actually way better off than we are cause he's accepted his Robot. We still don't think ours exists.
Every week you watch Elliot. You're watching yourself whether you like it or not.

just wore them and had them for years. nothing wrong with them in your eyes. they look good
and then you see what a new pair of shoes looks like on your feet?
what were you doing to your reality?

you are NOT getting me again
nope NOT gonna happen
I refuse
I have my reality and I'm comfortable with it is mine

It's OURS.
I'm living your reality too. I'm visiting you right now and you think we're posting on BGOL but you're really in custody..
I play along because we're family that's what we do.

I can't. I just can't.
Just pick up on the little things man.
Go back and listen to his narration and see if you don't find yourself saying the exact same thing about stuff just in a different way lol
OK you know what OK
YES
we ALL can relate to feeling like a powerless cog in the machine.
however the reason we LIVE vicariously thru Elliot is because he is actually RAGING against it in any way can
I think the frustrating thing about OUR collective existence ESPECIALLY as a Black men is feeling powerless to really effect change.
Elliot CAN and HAS done so
Now I think it would be a HUGE mistake if the creator tried to do the Buffy/St. Elsewhere/Dallas thing (trapped in a sanitarium and everything we have seen is a delusion of a sick boy)
Elliot HAS to be our hero.
(and I STILL thing there is some connection to ET the extraterrestrial)

It's a cult show, not a smash show. It's above board. No low hanging fruit for people to latch onto. They just got their entire world rocked after trying to get into Mr Robot and Binge watching it cause it's supposed to be all of that lol.
They just binged watched it caught up and then at the end of this episode they did all of that for nothing seemingly lol.
Nominations and shit don't mean anything. The Wire didn't win shit.
Not Surprised because it's a GOOD SHOW. Shows didn't used to be smashes overnight. That's not how it happens. Plus it's the only reason people watch USA. Suits and this. Otherwise it's just Seinfeld repeats 24 hours as far as anyone else is concerned.
Don't need to expand the audience. You need to trust the show. Trust the process. You need to let it be organic and catch on or it won't catch on but when it does it'll still be pure
Like what if the wire tried to expand it's audience? lol
They didn't they did their thing. NOW 15 years later people are appreciating the work and they can't shit on it.
No you don't listen to fans. they're not really fans. They're the binge watchers.
It's not actually all that smart lol to be honest. It's just way smarter than the shit that's going down. How many times I gotta call something before it happens and how many times do I need to break down the parallels and what it's saying...
It's an intelligent show. Not a show that you need to be a savant in order to get
We are at the crossroads
You want some trash go watch the trash. Watch this if you want to be stimulated.
Keep it out there because you'll get tired of trash and come back to it and if you don't it was never for you in the first place.
You are.
I don't know if I should do this to yall but fuck it.

thats relative to the era... its on cable and there are waay too many other options. Thanx to cable and now streaming TV viewing is forever fractured and cannot and should not really be judged by ratings anymore. The most popular show on tv today has only a fraction of what The Cosby Show, Cheers, All in the family and MASH pulled in back in the day.Ok I need you to put your TV executive, producer and director and writer hats on.
Why are the ratings so low? (although the DVR numbers are VERY good)
awards are glorified PR and advertising for the most part. Are the critical accolades and awards and nominations ENOUGH?
that decision wouldnt be that difficult consider the awards and acclaim..Are you surprised by the early renewal as an EXEC do you think it was a good idea?
the only way to expand the audience of a show like that is to be more conventional and accessible...how the story is laid out the time jumps, perception plays and mysteries plus the slow burn don't play well to a general audience that likes shows like CSI and Law and Order that can wrap up an episode in 45 minutes with commercial breaks. How do you expand this show's audience next season?
thats a hard one..on the one hand the creator has a vision on the other if you keep frustrating the fan base then whats the point? As I said before I think MOST fans will hang in there but the PAYOFF BETTER BE GOOD!And do you LISTEN to the growing disgruntled fans?
They need to be careful because there are only so many twists and turns you can do before the audience starts to goIs the show TOO SMART and clever for its own good?
yea this the age of binge watchers. alot of ppl wait until a show has at least two seasons before they start.
yup. the best usa could do right now is to let the show flow like hbo did for the wire. look at how relatively mundane the wire's ratings were when it first aired (pre streaming age) and look at the classic status it has garnered from the 'mainstream' 15 (already?!) odd years later. i dunno if mr robot will be up there when it is all said and done, but i'm glad that usa is at least giving it that chance.
what i really liked about this ep was that elliot was saved by accepting his mr robot, while ray went down because he ignored his until it was too late.
tryna work myself up to watch season 2...I like a lot of the characters but felt very letdown by the story toward the end of season one...the christian slater reveal wasn't that big...I knew from ep one he was a figment of his imagination...I'll admit I was surprised it was his pops tho...I love the presentation...little things that it does very well...and the bleakness of the show which can sometimes be a bit depressing but it is brutally honest which is good...I'll read the comments up to the end of season one...maybe there is something I missed/didn't get toward the end there as I watched the last 4 eps back to back
going out on a limb so no one confirm or deny it but I'm guessing christian slater is his alter ego and dude is twisted enough that he doesn't realize he's the one who hacked into the shit that he was tryna stop
