Motivational speaker goin off for being disrespected

Anyone got links for that Eric Thomas dr. Thomas and all the other audios? I noticed it ain't on bgol

Hold up. I hear what the motivation speaker is saying, but kids are smart. Most don't want to hear another mofo yelling at them, telling them what they need to be doing, then bounce. They get that shit everyday from preachers, politicians, and well meaning adults. Kids believe in someone they trust. Someone whos going to be there, tomorrow, and the next day. I have disdain for mofos that bungie jump into people's lives under the pretext of "doing good" the bungie right out again. It makes them feel good, by "giving back". See Ray Lewis, armchair protest critic.

These kids know, he won't be there tomorrow, and his often repeated words will have little affect on their lives. They have seen "guest preachers" before. Also, fuck this mofo getting salty about kids not properly receiving his word. Go back to the corporate sponsored events and collect your check. That's the one i'll be at, playing Clash of Clans in the back row. I'll give you a half hearted "amen" to make you feel good, while my armies are training.

Inspectah Deck summed it up well

It's been twenty-two long hard years of still strugglin
Survival got me buggin, but I'm alive on arrival
I peep at the shape of the streets
And stay awake to the ways of the world cause shit is deep
A man with a dream with plans to make C.R.E.A.M.
Which failed I went to jail at the age of 15
A young buck sellin' drugs and such who never had much
Trying to get a clutch at what I could not, could not,
The court played me short, now I face incarceration
Pacin' going up state's my destination
Handcuffed in back of a bus, forty of us
Life as a shorty shouldn't be so ruff
But as the world turns I learned life is hell
Living in the world no different from a cell
Everyday I escape from Jakes givin' chase, sellin' base
Smokin' bones in the staircase
Though I don't know why I chose to smoke sess
I guess that's the time when I'm not depressed
But I'm still depressed, and I ask what's it worth?
Ready to give up so I seek the Old Earth
Who explained working hard may help you maintain
To learn to overcome the heartaches and pain
We got stickup kids, corrupt cops, and crack rocks
And stray shots, all on the block that stays hot
Leave it up to me while I be living proof
To kick the truth to the young black youth
But shorty's running wild smokin sess drinkin' beer
And ain't trying to hear what I'm kickin in his ear
Neglected, but now, but yo, it gots to be accepted
That what? That life is hectic
Deck was that nigga!

That's that thing we all know too well, and it's part of what makes that part of the inner city youth culture painful to accept sometimes, it's that empty pride based on FEAR of Looking LACKING, it's the same thing that makes a lot of our youth too prideful to say they need help when they do. ...it's always sad when I see those instances, like we are all fucked up in the game out here, ur moms & pops just like mine ,ain't nobody balling, so why all the fronting ?
it's the same thing that'll make a kid from the hood with no real job or income want a $300 pair of shoes, it's deep on many levels i tell ya

We live in an era of comic books, fairy dust and make believe, where it is wrong calling a boy who is a boy, but believes he is a girl, it is wrong telling a woman who acts and looks like a whore a whore, it is wrong telling a dumb kid who is a failure in school and life a failure, and wrong to call someone who is dumb, dumb even thought he may be dumb as door nails...
We need to get off this, lets not hurt the children feelings, only to have them grow up and have life stomp a mud hole in them...
All we have to do is look at the facts, because there is no one with brains in this whole wide world that is saying that if things remain the same us black will be ok in 20 years... Everyone is saying that at the rate that entry level jobs are being lost, unless something drastic happens to us blacks we will be facing obstacles equal if not greater than slavery... Do the math, traditional black jobs (entry level and blue collar ) are disappearing, government subsidy is disappearing, and as soon as physical money is gone in a few years, it will be almost impossible to hustle in the streets (before you bark, do your research please!), but yet our kids are taking it for a joke, thinking the they will be able to get over doing the same bullshit their mothers and father did..
We cannot continue to pet these kids, telling them the lie that being a fuck up is a rite of passage that everyone goes through and because we turned out ok in the past we will be ok in the future...
This is the biggest lie that is told to the youth and unless real men step up and are bold enough to tell the truth, these kids will sadly one day be led to slaughter with out a fighting chance..

So:hmm: fuck them. Don't yell at em huh? Probably what their dumbass needs. Man fuck them. What we need to do then? Hold hands and sing Kum By Yah?

Seen this b4 but I'm glad I was able to see it againon a night like tonight... thanks

I wonder if he would have reacted the same way if the students were all white.

Sadly, as he said it, he didnt have to. White kids were all ears (I'm guessing that aint 100% accurate, but still). But why should he react that way to an all white audience anyway? He reacted that way, cause those were HIS people, who he gives a fuck about. White schools maybe are just a paycheck to him.

If you don't have enough discipline to control your emotions than how can you preach the importance of discipline to others.

This is why kids dont listen to their mothers (and/or fathers) in the Black community as it is.

While this is might be true, I'm willing to bet the nonlistening kids is even or higher in other communities when compared to our community.

You call it lack of discipline, i call it passion.

We not worried about other communities at this point. We want our people to win. Also keep in mind, what he said about the rapper being there the other night is true, that dude didn't do a concert for free. He got his money and moved on. ET is trying to lace these young kids with game about what they need to do to be successful and they not listening. He's trying to tell them how they can go about doing better than he did (dropping out of school, eating out of trash cans, taking 12 years to get a 4 year degree) If you got someone there trying to help you and to not to make the same mistakes they did. Some of these kids need that "tough love"...you got too many parents out here trying to be friends with their kids and not raise them right...

Thats fine and well, but if emulating the emotional faculties of a woman is what you call passion then knock yourself out.
How is this showing the faculties of a woman? I guess we were raised differently because when my father wanted to get his point across, he raised his voice.

Riiiite, so raising your voice and showing emotion is automatically a female trait? Thats a bit narrow minded dont you think?

Exactly, like muthafuckas walking around cool, calm and collected 24/7

When you lose control of your emotions its just that, the loss of control.

This is whats wrong with many of our young brothers unfortunately. No men around, so they emulate mommy with the tantrums.

Learning discipline has so many positive side effects. Its actually one of the pre-requisites to being successful.

I get what youre saying fam...but people dont want to listen until you give it to them differently...ET came out calm cool and collected...once the situation changed and people were laughing thinking it was funny you gotta change is up cause these kids think it's a game..you can't be up there talking like Ben Stein or nothing...they wont find it funny if they get locked up or worse (dead) over some BS...this is what ET is trying to say...Each one of them in that room can be great, but they have to realize within themselves that its not going to be handed to them. 9 times out of 10..they haven't been exposed to a black male authority figure so they dont know what it's like to be spoken to in that manner...

We just see it differently then. I dont think of it as a tantrum at all. He wasnt yelling calling them all types of mf'ers and cussin and what not. He gave them some grown man talk. And sometimes that requires raising your voice and letting them know what will and wont be tolerated.

As for discipline, his whole life story is a reflection of discipline.

There we go, thats good info!! Bro... And your right on with the job market and you hit the head with the money!! Hand-held money is a thing of the past. Im surprised its still around. These people are going to know where every penny is spent at and where and what time!!

Great speech, but people need to understand that the average attention span is 7 min for every hour. And its even lower for teenagers.

I deal with the youth and I've been doing it for more than 13 years. I think one of the root causes behind our young blacks is the fact that they want to be adults so damn fast man.

He was right about what he said but separation is what is needed. Dr. Sebi never had no formula education. His mother taught him how to read and right.
I hated school with a passion. I gave up around the 4 or 5 grade. This country was not founded on education. It was taken. The education system is based on do what I say or else. All over the world whites conquer with weapons, lies, sorcery, etc. And then like a demon turning into an angel of light rule as thought only they are right.
I was kicked out in the 9th grade. It did not matter because I could only try to make a career out of the 9th grade. When I was born and growing up I did not know that the world's best kept secret was that "OUR HEALTH IS OUR ONLY REAL WEALTH" anything else is borrowed including our lives. So far blacks as long as they keep poisoning us everything about their system of white supremacy will run smooth as usual.
They teach us how to help run their empire of Satan (whites) just to survive. The goals the kids will have in life are actually put their by the enemy. Right now we got to separate and get a piece of this earth to call our own. And take a break from the devil (whites) doing all the thinking and programming of us.
A chance to breathe free and think for our self.
