I made sure my clothes were cleaned and ironed, and if they weren't I wasn't leaving the house. Their house their rules, so I that's how it went. As I grew older, I didn't think anything of it. That's just the way I rolled; it became ingrained in me. I started to see for myself why they stressed the importance of carrying yourself in a proper way.
In fact I thought it was really crazy when I saw someone out in public looking like total shit. I'd be like WTF? What's up with their appearance?
Sure there were fads/trends, and we(kids my age/friends) dressed accordingly, BUT did so within the confines of good taste. You can sport the dress of the day, but still be neat with it. Oh, saggy ass pants and shorts have NEVER been cool. That shit needs to stop.
