The Case for Durant:
  • Dickrode a 73 win team that was a suspension away from repeating to another repeat.
  • Two Finals MVPs, three seasons

The Case for Oakley:
  • 10 years in a Knick uniform
  • Spent more minutes in a Knicks uniform than anyone not named Ewing or Frazier
  • Second highest value over replacement player in team history
  • Second highest defensive win share in team history
  • Top five in team history for overall win share
  • Franchise leader in offensive rebounds
  • Third most rebounds in franchise history
  • Second most steals in franchise history
  • NBA All-Star (1994) on best Knicks team since early 70s
  • NBA All-Defensive First Team (1994)
  • NBA All-Defensive Second Team (1998)

Isn’t this the second or third, does Charles Oakley deserve to have his New York Knicks jersey retired, post you’ve started in the past 72 hours?

Charles is this you?

Durant doesn’t deserve a damn thing from the Warriors.
Nigga ain’t even top 5 Warrior of all time.

Unless you're some type of pioneer like a Jackie Robinson no player deserves to have his jersey retired after only three years.

HOFs usually get their jerseys retired with multiple teams with less Hardware than KD...

Wilt Chamberlain played 6 seasons for the Warriors... Only 2 1/2yrs in SF and he never made the finals...

The Warriors still retired his Jersey

Moses Malone played only 5yrs... 4 in his Prime with Philly... 1 Chip/1 Finals MVP... And it took them 20 years to retire his jersey...
