Happened to me and my boy Ed in 10th grade! We both pulled the late shift at Micky D's, and were on our way home when this bored cop decided that he had nothing better to do. He stops us as we're walking home and starts talking slick, and then he asks for our ID's. He looks at mine, and then he looks at Ed's. He does a double take when he sees Ed's, and that's when it hits him. The "Jr." on Ed's ID means that he's the son of a captain in the DeKalb Co. Sheriff's dept. with the same unusual last name. That shit quickly turned from harassment to a "Y'all be careful out here" PSA.Asshole even offered us a ride home.

That's how I see it. He in NYC you got a lot of these white cops from Long Island, who come to work in the city straight outta high school, get their 15-30 college credits, THEN work their 10-20 years, then retire. that's about 32 years old. collect their pension, then go become a cop in another city, town or state. That's the hustle most black people DON'T know. I know a teacher who worked her 10 years as a cop and called it quits and become a teacher. she was collecting her pension and teaching. She is good. But, she won't tell other people that, we don't know that as black people/kids. We wanna become rappers, singers, producers... after the lime light instead of looking at the bigger picture.
