I agree with all of this but I suggest you stay for more than a day. I think I stayed at the Radisson in Nice (pool on the roof, overlooking the Med... don't let the fact that it's a Radisson fool you-shit was plush). Where ever I stayed, and I really can't remember, it sounds real regular here but it's cushy there. If your girl likes to shop and if y'all like to walk the beach and do the cafe leisure thing take a few days and soak it up. From London they have cheap flights and from Paris they have a very convenient train. The french country side is beautiful so I suggest the train... plus there are also a lot of small villages you can stop and visit along the way (maybe rent a car and drive).
I agree... don't make the Cote D'Azur the hole trip. Keep in mind Monoco is the beginning of Italy (I think it's it's own state or territory) so you'll see a lot of beautiful dark italian woman walking around (they'd be sisters here in the states).

I certainly agree with you. We started out in Paris and took the high speed train to Nice. We spent four days in Nice and Monaco/Eze was done in one day. Nice has wonderful shops and restaurants, and is right on the Med. And you're also on point with regards to Italy. The Italian border is only about 10 miles from Monaco and in fact you can see into Italy as you're making the drive from Nice into Monaco.
To the original poster, there are a number of great places to visit. Paris, London, Amsterdam, Rome, etc. I haven't even come close to hitting all the places I'd like. On idea to consider is a Western Med cruise. We embarked from Barcelona to Naples, Florence/Pisa, Rome, Villefranche, and one other stop before returning to Barcelona. We accomplished a lot in each stop, including a tour of Pompeii and the Almafi coast while in Naples, the Leaning Tower in Pisa and most of the major sites in Florence and Rome. Rome alone can take at least a week to really enjoy, but we did a good job in one day. Definitely want to go back. My second trip to Monaco was during our stop in Villefranche.
My recommendation is to do it at the end of the season, around mid-October. The weather is still nice, but the cruises are a lot less expensive.
Likewise (almost 4hr ride if i remember correctly). And a bus from Nice to Monaco.
get the passport, and I'd go there and into Paris. If you have enough time, hit Amsterdam too. Or you could just do the Mediterranean. Quiet as kept, the southern coast of Spain is hella nice. Malaga, Marbella and the coast of the sun are laid back.

If people would just stay on topic, give legit answers, and not worry about if their responses are going to good use.. there would be virtually nothing to argue about. What happens there after is tell-tell of his true intentions of his postings...
