Just curious...what's the difference in discrimination? There may be some superficial differences....but, I remember Dr King saying that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

Herein lies the problem. Because this makes us uncomfortable, we wanna avoid it. I was hella uncomfortable seeing two men kissing, but it's reality and it ain't going away...like Haldeman said, "once the toothpaste is outta the tube, you can't put it back." Besides, it's not my place to determine anyone else's behavior...
Of the thousands of men on this board, SOME OF YALL are gonna have to deal with homosexuality in your own family....your sons or daughters. I was actually afraid my son might be gay, at one point, but found out he was just ahead of his time. He was wearing simply wearing skinny jeans lonnnng before it was common.
and after talking...and doing more listening, I determined that the problem wasn't him, but me. I was trying to have him adapt his life in the 21st century to my fears from the 1970s...a world that no longer exists. Granted, that there is still much oppression of gays, but you don't hear as much about the beatings and killing of gay men that were fairly common, during my early years....and that's a great thing!
