  • Baby Cino (born Timothy Starks) was an aspiring Miami rapper best known for the song Big Haiti Shottas
  • The 20-year-old had just been picked up from a jail by a friend after posting bond on a gun charge
  • Moments after leaving the jail the shooter fired off more than 40 rounds into the Nissan Starks and his friend Dante Collins Banks were riding in
  • Starks died at the scene, while Banks suffered a gunshot to the abdomen and has since been treated at a local hospital and released
  • Detectives are on the hunt for 'a dark-colored vehicle that was seen fleeing the area at a high rate of speed'
The Miami-Dade Police Department are still on the hunt for the shooter who gunned down and killed aspiring rapper Baby Cino.

The ambush happened just moments after Baby Cino (born Timothy Starks), 20, was released from the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami, Florida after being arrested on a gun charge, the Miami Herald reports.

Police are still gathering information but it appears someone pulled up to the car Starks was riding in and fired off at least 40 shots, which killed Starks and injured his friend who had just picked him up at the jail.

Starks had been released from jail on Wednesday afternoon after posting bond. He was arrested the day before for allegedly illegally carrying a concealed weapon.

By the time his friend, Dante Collins Banks, went to pick him up in a red Nissan outside of the jail, Starks was still wearing his inmate wristband.

The shooting happened moments later, just as Starks' car entered Palmetto Expressway, which caused the driver to crash into the wall on the ramp.

I'm getting old cause back in the 90's I thought shit was wild which it was but I didn't look at it how I look at it now;This music and culture is just "Death",talking about killing,being killed,going to prison or getting high to get by until one of them happen.

Rap about crime but don't actually do it
Do crime and rap about it on a song....get killed,go to prison or turn into a junkie.

This been on the local news down here for two days. Didn't know he was a rapper. I think they just found out because they mentioned it on the ticker tape headlines feed that scrolls on the screen. Another aspiring rapper got hit up on a city bus in ft Lauderdale. It was a random shooting . The shooter let off 40 shots killing two and injuring two others. The bus driver threw the shooter off by driving in the wrong side of the rode then she drove to a local police station. These rappers need to find another lane in hip hop other than street rapping. They need to get on some swag jiggy party shit, or some bohemian tribe called quest OutKast type of vibe because that trap /drill shit is a bullet magnet.

It is “our own” because that’s where all the dirt is done. Dope boys and gang members aren’t terrorizing trailer parks and suburbs. You sell enough dope in the hood you’ve affected somebody. You’ve snitched, beat up, robbed or killed somebody. You’ve sold dope to somebody’s child, spouse or loved one. You ticket gets punched when it should.
