Yes but presenting me with those two options happens to stop me from doing whatever it is I am doing which is the issue. I want to be notified in a way that isn't obtrusive just like every other Mobile OS on the market today does. Why not have a notification system that I can pull down similar to Android or have my new IMs/Text Messages show up on a ticker like they do in WebOS? Having a blue box dim everything in the background and present you with two options is not a smart notification system...which is why no one likes Windows UAC. Nobody wants to be annoyed by those blue boxes especially when they pop up every time someone sends you an IM or text message. I don't even like leaving IM+ when I'm using it because I know everytime I leave the program I'm going to get a blue box popping up.

They showed the 7 tent poles and then said with 100 other features. On top of that it didn't even launch with Game Center which was one of the tent poles.

Hey man think about how Apple's marketing has been just for a new design, folders, video chat, and multi-tasking.

"This changes everything. Again."

If this incremental change was that big to Apple just imagine how they must feel about real changes i.e. Widgets and a new Notification System. The marketing is going to be through the rough for that.

:lol: they said it could do game center and other shit. But don't worry about why I bought it. Worry about why you got it. I'm glad I did in a way because I show no bias. I like what works for me. I'm one of the few on here like that. Otherwise it would be a bunch of iPhone fanboys on here talking about how nothing compares to it when they have not even used the competition. I like having both now because people can't spit that you never used it shit. I like when people see me on my EGO and be on the iPhone 4 is better shit and they don't even own a iPhone 4. Then I say why I like it better and they be like no the I4 is better at that. Then I pull my i4 out and all of a sudden they willing to listen to what ii have to say. It's strange because those Apple cats feel you have to own it to speak on it.

I think you are victim of your own misinformation. Game Center is a set of API's and part of aSDK used by developers. That SDK was released to Developers as promised.

Oh shit :smh:. I kinda lost track on this thread and I have to read and catch up but to hear this come from you shocked me. From the debates we have had about phones and tech I took you to be die-hard Apple. Why do you consider it to be the same? They added alot hardware wise (better cam, front cam, better antenna :rolleyes:, no one can deny that screen is the shit, slimmer) and the new OS. Im not arguing with your statement Im just asking. Im in the limbo right now as far as phones so I try to soak in as much as owners can tell me. Fuck all that getting my money and time tied up with contracts.

The more i hear about the Evo and the iphone4, the Evo sounds beast. Sprint is fucking up not having inventory :smh:.

It would better to compare iOS 3 to 4 vs Android 2.0 to Froyo. For instance, in Froyo Android devices got Flash, Increased Exchange Support (remote wipe), Wifi Hotspot functionality, Voice Dialing and Contact Sharing over bluetooth, Support for file upload fields in Browser, Support for installing applications on expandable memory, and more. The update before Froyo they got live wallpaper and iPhone users are just not getting basic wallpaper now. The next update they are getting FLAC playback support (something even iTunes can't do), Built in Media Streaming from PC, and they are going to enhance the UI which is good. Google is making so many changes and so fast that Apple is not going to be able to keep up if they don't change pace right away.

WWDC is for Developers.. they released Game Center SDK for Developers (it is a feature is iOS 4 not iPhone 4).... and Apple said it will be available on the iPhone and iPod LATER THIS YEAR!

I'll help you out a little.. its about changes from one version to the next.. first he discussed hardware then switched to software when I asked him to name the changes from Android device to the next.

The reason I'm not feeling the phone is due to the fact that it was marketed as a revolution in the marketplace when in reality it was an incremental jump similar to that of the 3G to 3GS. For one, the design is basically the standard iPhone with flattened edges and an outside antenna (which has become a major problem). The OS is the same thing they've been pumping out the past 3 years just with folders, wallpaper, and multitasking. They neglected to include any way to access information in the OS without having to enter an app and they still have that piss poor notification system. At the end of the day it's the same thing as a 3GS with a couple bells and whistles to fool consumers into thinking it is something new. It's similar to Windows Vista and Windows 7. They tweaked it a bit, made it run faster, gave it a different name, and now people think it is this newly created masterpiece when in fact it's not.

I'd say it's pretty revolutionary. Best Display on the market right now. Face Time. Best HD Video in any smartphone on the market. Game Center Social Networking.

If you disagree that is fine.. but not sure why you are mad at Apple (or their marketing) or others who think that is huge.
