The irony is that Tupac gave reverence in his song "old school" and Biggie wore his influences on his sleeve in "Juicy"
That said, reverence has to work both ways. If your father tried to diminish your accomplishments and challenge you to a fist fight you wouldn't have much reverence for him either.
Mel must have ties to the west coast, he is always uppin west coast m.cs
back when new york thought ice t's rap game was corny as fuck..
Mel would be like... nah ice tea cool peoples..

Instigating a foolish beef between the so called east coast and west coast even though his ass was born in New York and raised in Baltimore.
Getting involved in a gang brawl in a Las Vegas hotel that got his silly ass killed.
Making a handful of shitty movies.
Putting 'I drink henessy over my enemies in every other song.
Causing a surge in Hennessy and Alize sales in the mid 90s cause negros thought it was cool to drink.
He was the first dude I saw with a nose ring which at the time I thought was a rather feminine thing to do. Who am I kidding shit is still feminine.
And probably was the inspiration of Gangstaliscious.
First big name artist who hustled backwards.
On a sidenote yall do know this dude was at the school of performing arts and took ballet which means nigga wore a tutu.
Out of curiosity who’s the best and what’s your criteria?
Nothing to dare.
It's subjective there is no authority or definitive
Both great artists
I listen to 2pac and relate to his music way more. and especially now.
And all my memories, of seein' brothers bleed
And everybody grieves, but still nobody sees
Recollect your thoughts don't get caught up in the mix
'Cause the media is full of dirty tricks
Dear mama, can you save me? And fuck peace
'Cause the streets got our babies, we gotta eat
No more hesitation each and every black male's trapped
And they wonder why we suicidal runnin' 'round strapped
Mista, Police, please try to see that it's
A million motherfuckers stressin' just like me

Nah because I was a biggie fan when he was alive too
I never bought into east vs west
Big is a great rapper his flow was crazy
Pack had the message and the ability to make you feel over time I've valued being able to make you emotional over strictly bars big had charisma too no doubt so it's not to take away
But pac made you feel a way on ambitions as a ridah
And the complete opposite on life goes on
That's not lost on me
Exactly!I can dig it.
My aspect is similar.
I like Big music, but I felt Pac.
The hurt, the pain, the struggle.
The come up, the way out the hood.
Pac laid it down, I could relate, and I felt what he was spittin.
I never got that from Big music.
Exactly!
That's exactly it
Nopewhat's going on in here?
biggie slander?
I can dig it.

Nope
The world doesn't revolve around new York
Big's music had feeling, substance and emotion and a unique perspective of a young man in Brooklyn
that is undeniable
and it was just a DIFFERENT way of expressing that emotion.
Not having as much doesn't mean it's void of it.Of course not but I think this continued narrative of Big music not having "substance" is lazy.
