Eiht is a pioneer so he gets a pass. It's his livelyhood. But now it appears he's a reporter as opposed to being active. Don't condone it, gang banging, but that's how he gets his checks.

never been much of an Eiht fan, but the song is iight. I know a hand full of "Eiht's" around the way still hanging out so it ain't unusual that he hasn't grown from that hood mentality.
