Mayweather should not fight Maidana again, he should move on

While all of us were shocked that someone we thought was nothing
more than a crude brawler gave Mayweather arguably his hardest
fight, the fact of the matter is that no fair minded person disputes
that Money won the fight, more importantly, the judges gave the
fight to Mayweather by a wide margin. This is a lesson to all those
who think that they can turn the rules of boxing over, head butt, hit
under the belt, and demand to come into a fight with nothing covering
their knuckles than a thin layer of leather: boxing is about scoring,
and it is about outpointing your opponent round per round. If you
expend all your fire throwing 400 punches in the first 4 rounds, and
then through 500 hundred the remaining 8 rounds, your opponent
will win if he outpoints you systematically every round thereafter.
Maidana was an idiot, and his trainer a greater idiot. They forgot to
win the game, and tried to win a brutal street fight. They had their
chance, they lost, as history will record, and now they can take their
bitching to their next fight, because there is really no benefit in Money
fighting them again. WHEN, not IF, Mayweather dominates Maidana in
a rematch, then what? The haters will return to demanding that he fight
Golovkin again? At this time, Floyd would be better off fighting Manny
Pacquiao. The fight would make more money, and Pacquiao would
fight more cleanly, albeit in a losing effort.

The people who will clamour for this fight do not like Floyd anyway, and
if he wins, they will like him even less. He does not win by appeasing
them. Floyd needs to continue doing what is best for Floyd and move
on, and forget Maidana.

Floyd needs to announce his opponent as soon as possible, and make it
clear it is not Maidana; the only reason why you grant an opponent a
rematch is if you want something he has. There is nothing Maidana has
that Mayweather wants. Fuck him

Agreed, Maidana can brawl and claw all he wants, he aint fooling anyone, boy need his eyes checked  . The Pacman fight needs to be made, TOO much money is being left on the table in the midst of this bickering.

Everything you said was spot on except him fighting pac man fuck that dude he's washed up pac man should fight Broner  Shawn Porter verse money sounds better...

I agree and on the strength of Garcia bitch ass trying to cheat wit the gloves...

No rematch

Please! All of money's haters believe that bum can actually win. They feel they were so close to seeing the man they hate the most lose. This will sell like no other ppv in history; he made 90 mil off canelo, he will make 100 mIL off this rematch. Floyd would be a fool to not take this fight.

There's no more fights to be made. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. There isn't really anybody else that can sell tickets or PPV buys. His fights are more a documentary than an anything exciting. His skill makes you watch to see how he will out class each fighter. However, the excitement is not there. He's just gonna cherry pick guaranteed wins to fulfill that big ass contract with Showtime. Pacman would have to be the very last fight because if he fights him before 51, nobody will tune in after to see if he breaks the record.

he shouldnt fight him again because it's nothing Maidana can do that will actually make the fight closer. But, it would be a dam money maker. There isnt a fight out there right now that would make more money. Porter nor Thurman aint ready just yet. Pacman aint gonna get the fight. Khan has that holiday coming up but even still he wouldnt be the mony maker of a Maidana fight. So a rematch would not surprise me.

Pretty much

I agree but the rematch will sell like a mothafucka!!! Money May just need to keep the fight in the center of the ring , stay off the ropes and take it to his body like his pops was telling him in the corner and the shit will be a easy record breaking payday!

This! Plus he can bide his time to hope Broner gets better. Fight Maidana, then then Broner , then Porter. That'll put him at 50-0 and he can go ahead and retire!

He's never going to fight, Broner. He's guiding Broner to be the face of TMT. It was Money who told Broner to go down to 140.

You're right. They'll keep Broner at a weight he can win at, use his mouth to promote, get his numbers up , and bring in someone who can really win titles in several classes. Broner would be perfect due to the fact that he has talent and can self promote, but he's not discipline enough to sustain and flourish for longer than a few years. They need a new Floyd type or something close to it. Perhaps a few of em to trade titles amongst each other and create an era similar to days of old where there were many great fighters and you'd never know who could beat who. There may be enough of those out there. Between golden boy and TMT, they're both good enough promoters to keep us watching.

Oddly enough it will turn into the black boxers vs the Latino ones.

But oscar has B Hop in his company. Floyd needs a reputable Latino boxer to side with him in his company.

Edit: MY BAD. Broner isn't even a TMT fighter. He's on golden boy.

I don't know who Floyd has who's interesting enough to be a prospect. 50 cents punk ass used Floyds name to swipe Gamboa and he's ruining that kids career. He woulda been much better under any of the others and will probably switch soon if any of them want him. They will probably have to pay 50 something for his contract.

Seem like if Mayweather would've forced the action it could've been a completely different fight.

oscar is trying to get his company back since sheffer is in floyds corner and basically working for the best interest of TMT

i would like to see em fight Shawn Porter.....go ahead and snatch that IBF belt from em

thats a good site too...i just added it to my favs...good look

Wow. The final stroke needs to be to kill of Bob arums company and take all the fighters he has.

They got Don King out of there already pretty much. Getting rid of Arum would be nice, provided there can be some interesting fighters to come along and sustain the sport in a few weight classes

He will fight Maidana again, and destroy him this time to shut up the naysayers. Pacquiao must fight Bradley a 3rd time. They each have one win. This is why Pac was robbed in the first fight, because if he'd beaten him, it would be on to the next one. Pacquiao will be fight #49 for Floyd, and undoubtedly a comeback out of retirement #50 rematch as well. He has a plan that will make him worth $1 Billion in cash and assets when he's finished boxing. This will solidify him at the top because its never been done, and boxing is no longer big enough for it to be repeated. He has two more fights with Showtime. He's probably gonna return to HBO where he started for the last fight(s). There's gonna be another bidding war either way. The last bidding war between them resulted in Showtime/PPV paying him $200 million for 3 fights. This is in addition to his purse. As much as he's a boxing genius, he's a business man for real. They count him out because he talks like a street cat, but he's gettin it out em.

There is NO money in fighting Porter. He should fight the winner of Martinez/Cotto. (If Cotto can get out of his TR deal)

Pacquiao likes fighting Mayweather's leftovers so he'll fight Maidana before Floyd.

Floyd should fight Maidana again in September unless he fights...

Pac
Winner of Cotto vs Martinez at 160.
Danny Garcia

Thats it. Fans shouldnt be satisfied with anyone else. Floyd shouldnt want anyone else.

And he clearly won the fight in my eyes. Was close but clear. I have to say though that Maidana deserves a 2nd shot. And its guaranteed to make PPV bank.

Floyd can't make 160. If he could B-Hop would be an option. I'd want to see:

Martinez
Khan
Pacquiao

He's trying to pull Mikey Garcia, and Danny Garcia is an outside chance.

Danny Garcia would be a cool acquisition, but he'll had to protect him from certain fights lol. His dad's mouth serves as great promo.

Fuck it, if Danny takes a risk and wins another big fight it's a good look. I wonder if khan would take another stab at it.

:yes::yes:
The best money move he could make is to take the Maidana rematch in Sept. Guys like Khan, Thurman, Garcia, and Porter need to be fighting and winning to be ready for the April fight.
People are refusing to accept that Floyd almost lost legitimately, huh?

Because that never happened. He got a draw on one card and a blow out on the other two, that's not close to a loss, legitimately or otherwise. You sound like you don't want him to fight Maidana out of fear.

Floyd can't make 160. If he could B-Hop would be an option. I'd want to see:

Martinez
Khan
Pacquiao

Hopkins still wouldn't be an option because he can't make 160 anymore.
I don't know why people keep mentioning middleweights, even smaller ones like Martinez. That's not going to happen.
