the 2nd amendment is not there for dear hunting. its not there in case the deer turns against us. its their as a last line of defense against tyranny. you woud be either a fool or very naive to think that every criminal will give u their guns....bc you are betting the life of your family and mines on that. chicago has some of the strickest gun laws in tha nations...must be sheer magic on how many shooting go down with illegal guns up there. with gun laws, you are going to take the guns that equal the playing field off the board and the only people whon will have them will be criminals and cops....and these days its hard to tell which is which sometimes.
im trying to get you to see the larger play here. getting rid of guns "sounds" great but like all thing in theory the execution of such a thing would be horrific. you would leave family man unable to defend against a intruder who has him outgunned. simepl mathematics will help you see the light. 30 > 18 same as a ak47 vs a glock. in a round for round exchange you would lose. also ak round go through walls whereas a 9mm is 50/50. in a fight, you would lose the advantage even though you have literally homefield advantage.
