- Hundreds of millions of people/family are being AFFECTED by peoples' diseases the world over at present. Especially when you include sub-factors and side effects like violence/abuse/suicidal ideation/suicide attempts/depression/introvertedness, and so on.
- I'm sure MANY of us here on this board come from broken homes, and have had family members battling their diseases, and many who still are or who haven't admitted to them/same as of yet.
- One of the realest programs on all of television in the past 3 seasons has been A&E's Intervention. I recommend that show for any and everyone ... all ages. Shows the destructive nature of all diseases. Be it crystal meth' / ice / heroin / cocaine / video games / gambling / alcoholism / shopping / eating disorders/nicotine addiction. * They've shown video game addiction a season or two back ... not sure if they've shown computer/television addiction, and if NOT - I'd be surprised (especially for the former).
- Huge respect to ANY & EVERYONE and ALL OF US who have dealt with family and friends' addictions ... supported them ... lived with/in/around them ... tried to help them/assist 'em in seeing the light and intervening as best/most safely as we possibly can, etc. Also big props to all who have OVERCOME their own diseases/ailments. And much strength to young brothers in the world of showbiz here like MARIO and SEAN KINGSTON at present. I was listening to a profile on KINGSTON earlier this year, and as noted on his Wikipedia entry ... both his mom and sister have faced incarceration at certain points, and from what I can remember his mom's currently serving a 2 - 3 year bid with release either just recently or a little bit later this year. Hell ... Kingston's not even 18 yet, and doing big things for himself and staying out of trouble. He's a kid for Christ's sake. Impressive.

I was once at a party where everybody was gathered around a table smoking weed and this nerdy girl was with them. I was gonna, but I didn't. I don't know why I didn't. Well, they lit it up and let her hit it first. As soon as she it it (and they let her hit it twice...hard) they broke out laughing...everybody. Somebody said..."That's a Primo, yo!" A Primo is a joint/blunt laced with crack rocks.
That was the last time I smoked weed with a group. Period. And I only smoked weed once after that. People use drugs as a recreational thing (like weed) or a temporary getaway from the problems of the world. I am not pouring my hard earned money into someone who, "Just couldn't deal."

I don't think he did it as a way of admonishing his mom. It's obvious he loves her and wants her to get help. The way the media works a scandalous spin would've been put on it. So the brother is dealing with it head on. But she has to be the one who want's the help. And right now....she's light years from that shit.
