A couple of things said in this video I don't believe. First, I don't believe Spence stopped Crawford in sparring, I know some of you remember the mostly friendly confrontation the two of them had a few years ago. They were both accusing the other of being hurt by different fighters, at no point did Spence say, I smoked you when we sparred. The other thing I have trouble believing is why Spence isn't knocking people out like he use to. Dude is saying that it's because Spence is wearing bigger gloves. I don't think it's possible for fighters to even fight in different glove but even if it was, he wants you to believe that Spence, who has the bigger name wanted the Garcia fight so bad that he would agree to let Garcia wear puncher's gloves while he wears pillows, don't believe it. I know Hagler wanted the Leonard fight so bad that he gave in on some demands like thumbless gloves and ring size but Mikey Garcia ain't Sugar Ray Leonard.

I didn't listen to the interview just responding to your post. The gloves have to be the same size as far as weight. However, they can fight with any brand they are comfortable with, both boxers do not have to wear the same brand. Some brands are punchers gloves due to the material that's in them like Reyes brand that Manny uses an others like Mayweather use Grant due to how it's padded.

Max knows his boxing but I disagree and I don't think the comparison to Duran and SRL is valid because Duran actually beat Leonard in the first fight.
Pacquiao is an all time great no question. Being a 8 division champion is a hell of a feat but it is easier to be a champion in this crazy 4 belt era.
If Pacquiao manged to beat Spence, one would gave to revisit the question but for right now I still have Floyd ahead. Pacquiao didn't come up in weight to fight Floyd either. Pacquiao was fighting at welterweight for years so I think Max overemphasized Floyd's physical advantages there.
Some of those titles that Pac won were open titles and not againt champions.
He fought catchweight and held non factor belts.

I think you're wrong on that, I believe both camps decide on what gloves will be used and both fighters have to wear the same type of gloves. Why would any fighter agree to give his opponent an edge by letting them wear gloves that are capable of doing more damage to him than his gloves can do to his opponent?

They do decide on what gloves can be used, that's why they go into each other's locker room an watch when they wrap the opponents hands. Look at the Mayweather Pac fight you will see what I mean. Mayweather wears Grants an Pac wears Reyes. Those are really the 2 top gloves but they have a few others with different characteristics like Winning and Everlast.
You're right, I guess if both camps agree, it can be done.
