Man Da Boot in trouble: New Orleans To require vaccine or negative test for restaurants, in door and other activities, starting aug 16, 2021

Watch How you talk to me brah

No, you watch how you talk to me.

Before I put your pics on the dark web you were just a broke ass street rat from Chicago.

But I've allowed you to meet people who are willing to spend money on you and allow you to make a steady income and take care of your family.

BUT, just as fast as I've given, that's just how fast I can take away.

You wanna go back to being a street rat and tell people how you really make your money?

You want a job?

Thanks fam.... Da Boot should have shut down mardi gras just like Houston shutting down the rodeo. I think that helped Houston a lot.

Those timelines were different man. Besides, as I hear, Cantrell is getting beat up left and right and she wasn't going to risk taking away the most lucrative time for the city over something that even the president of her own country was calling a hoax.

Hindsight is motherfucker, but I can't blame anyone in early February for not knowing what this was going to do.

We knew about this shit in January. It was a hard decision but that is what leaders are paid to do. Hell, bgol had a more timely response than the powers that be.

Just because u survived Katrina doesn’t mean u gonna survive this

i can’t wait

Who's going to set up your clients if I'm gone.

I'm the one who's managing your money and your books.

I also stopped that married closet case from banging your head against the wall.

Put your anger aside. You have a busy week ahead and we're making a killing during this quarantine.

Somebody can check this, but Mardi Gras ended right before the rodeo season down in the H started. It went on for a week or so before it was shut by the mayor.

Mardi Gras started in late January. They wasn't going to stop the most visited time of a service industry city that survives from tourism. C'mon man, that was never going to happen.

Hell, they let a dead body remain visible in a collapse building.... You think they give a shit about something that's happening a world away that hasn't even reached the region of the country yet?

Hold up, gentleman look at this article that Clancy Dubos put out with a time line of events.

Jan. 7 — China identifies the new virus.

Jan. 21 — First U.S. case reported in Washington State.

Jan. 22 — Trump: “We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China.”

Jan. 30 — Trump: “We have very little problem in this country at this moment — five — and those people are all recuperating successfully.”

Feb. 10 — Trump: “Typically, that will go away in April. We’re in great shape though. We have 12 cases…” Actually, it was 14.

Feb. 21 — Mardi Gras weekend starts.

Feb. 24 — CDC warns of a major U.S. outbreak. Trump tweets: “The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA. … Stock Market starting to look very good to me!” CNN reports 53 cases in the U.S. — 36 aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship, 3 repatriated from China, and 14 “U.S. cases.”

Feb. 28 — Trump: “This is their new hoax,” referring to Democrats’ alarm.

Feb. 29 — First death on U.S. soil.

March 9 — Gov. John Bel Edwards announces the first case in Louisiana.

March 10 — Cantrell cancels St. Patrick’s Day and Super Sunday parades.

March 11 — The World Health Organization declares COVID-19 a pandemic. NBA suspends games. Trump addresses nation.

Recall that Cantrell caught some local flak for canceling St. Patrick’s and Super Sunday parades, but she looked prescient just days later.

She reminded Blitzer, “When the experts told me that social gatherings would be an issue, I moved forward with canceling them. … In hindsight, if we were given clear direction, we would not have had Mardi Gras, and I would have been the leader to cancel it.”

Yes, she would have been.

Nah, fam.....we won't be willfully ignorant today. When did the Mardi Gras season in New Orleans begin this year? When did that first parade roll?

Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus was the first parade it rolled on February 1.

Keep in mind the article was written by Clancy Dubos, not me.

Gentlemen put yourself in LaToya Cantrell's kitten heels for a second.

You are the first Black woman to be mayor of New Orleans, you are also not a native, you are from Los Angeles, California.

If you cancel one of New Orleans' signature events based on what were just "rumblings" of a virus coming out of China at the time, you are taking a political risk that could sink your family for generations or permanently, especially since the honeymoon period is over and the approval ratings are starting to dip.

Keep in mind white folks criticized the piss out of her canceling St. Patrick's Day parades on March 10th and accused her of racism for not canceling the Mayor's Masked Ball despite the fact that the Mayor's Masked Ball is put on by the United Negro College Fund and not the office of the mayor.

Shit was not clear in January and February, today is March 29 and people still aren't clear on this shit.
