Lord Jamar and Godfrey refuse to go Vlad tv until Vlad apologize to Min. Farakhan

The Vlad platform works, others can't duplicate it because Vlad put the work in to make it what it is.

It takes time, years of dedication and years of hard work. And many aren't into putting that much work in.
Art of Dialogue is probably the closest to replicating Vlad's formula, but I think Umar is probably the only one he has on that he pays. So maybe they can go over there.:dunno:

i dont like vlad but both parties benefit from his platform. dont forget the people that come on his platform dont get the chance to go to bigger black media platforms.
godfrey wasnt getting interviewed like that and he has connects everywhere. just like how jess hilarious is getting more shows because of the bfc.

now for context vlad doesnt get big stars so thats why he does it. the minute he gets the big stars all them fixed guests gone.
It's your Name, Image and Likeness that Vlad is profiting from. If you found out that people were getting way more, you would have every right to negotiate what you thought was fair to use your Name, Image and Likeness. If we can't come to terms then I am pulling my licenses. Business goes both ways.

You're wrong, the content is the interaction and Vlad's questioning. He's been doing it for years and is actually a good interviewer. That is lost to lot of people who only see the person being interviewed in the videos so they misconstrue the content as only coming from the person on camera. Tony Yayo going back and forth with Vlad is the best part of his Vlad interviews. His responses to Vlad's questions is what gets the views. It's symbiotic, but Tony can't do with just go to any other interviewer and have the same chemistry. You can keep saying how unfair it is, but there's nothing more fair than doing it yourself and proving your value. Again, there is literally nothing stopping them form doing it if they can so show and prove.
No fam. It would be YOUR content that Vlad is using. What would Vlad being a good interviewer have anything to do with you Name, Image and License?

If I were Aries I would have asked the following questions. How many platforms will my video be played on? I would charge Vlad a fee for every platform my Name, Image and Likeness appeared on. For example, I would have a fee for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat or any other podcast app.

Aries does not have to create digital content to prove what he feels his Name, Image and Likeness is worth. I would have stopped licensing my shit if I had found out how underpaid I was

I disagree because what you're essentially saying is he should keep the numbers to himself so he can get over on more people. Isn't that how the music industry works in general? If he shows you what it is on your views, how can you argue with that?

I'm not saying that at all.

I'm saying now that this is a thing everyone will ask for potentially unreasonable numbers based on what he said he was paying Boosie without really understanding how much money they'll be able to generate.

Aries has already done so and based it off positive comments under his interviews

I don't give a damn about Vlad but some of what he said when addressing this was true.

Most of the people he interviews wouldn't really be worth paying any significant money and do interviews everywhere else for free.

But Vlad is also a narcissistic asshole so I won't mind seeing people giving him shit whether it's deserved or not.

Vlad showed the texts where Aries demanded a sit down, they set a time and Aries didn't show and basically said whatever...Aries would have to show that those texts are fake otherwise it aint a good look

Vlad aint shit but so far he aint looking too bad in these pay disputes

Listen, you can demand anything you want in life. It's irrelevant if someone will not pay you what your asking for. It again, is irrelevant! Everything you've argued is just based on feelings. Vlad already explained the video Aries was pointing out on Tiktok aren't even Vlad's videos. They're random Tiktokers that took the footage from Vlad and made it go viral. Is Aries pressing those Tiktokers for his cut? Now tell me how you get monetary value on something else's content you don't own? Explain to us in detail how Vlad can show those videos increase his bottomline? You are arguing nonsense. Feelings and reality are two different things. I can tell my employer what I feel I'm worth, but if I can't do it myself or find someone to pay me what I'm asking for then ain't shit I can do about it. It's called life. That's why I keep a side hustle because it gives me an immediate reality check and understanding of value. You will know you're value because people will pay for what your selling or they won't. There's nothing else to be said in this whole situation. Those that can do. Those that can't.......

Well, that's what he's gonna have to deal with, but his has the numbers to back up what he's saying. So whoever asking for more gotta come with an actual counter to his numbers. It's crazy how niggas keep running back to this white man for their money and then turn around complaining about how they're not getting paid by him. I can't take these dudes seriously. Godfrey is the only one I can respect in this situation. He left the platform grew is his own and now he's thriving. He did the work so he could say fuck Vlad. Rest of these dudes is on some clown shit to me.

Worse than that is most of them already work consistently and have some form of income coming in so shouldn't be so pressed for money that they'd be willing to kiss his or anyone's ass.

Nah from what I've heard I think he actually pays a lot of (if not most) people he interviews.

I don't know how much but I've heard multiple people confirming this.

There's no way Dame is doing those interviews for free and I know he pays Gene Deal.

What I am saying is not based on feelings. I own a digital marketing agency so I am speaking from experience. Unfortunately you would have been robbed right in your face.

Vlad can see how many subscribers were gained from a specific video. He can see watch time, returning viewers, new viewers, traffic sources, impressions, click-through rate, audience retention, suggested video traffic, and how that video helped move people through the channel. This is all available in GA4

He can look at an Aries Spears interview and see if people subscribed from that video, if they watched more videos after that, if it showed up in suggested videos, and if it kept people engaged on the channel.

Think of “Name, Image and Likeness”. When you do an interview with Vlad, your signing over license to use your “Name, Image and Likeness”. Vlad is profiting from people’s name, image, likeness, and personal stories. That gives the guest every right to negotiate based on more than just one video’s view count.

What Vlad is failing to mention is that he is receiving residual income. Your mistake like many, never asked the following questions

1.) What platforms will this interview be used on? YouTube only? Facebook? Instagram? TikTok? Snapchat? Website? Podcast platforms?

2.) How many clips will be made from it?

3.) Will the content be monetized forever?

4.) Can Vlad reuse my clips in compilations, promos, throwbacks, or future content?

5.) Is the payment for one interview, or is it really payment for unlimited use of my name, image, likeness, voice, and personal stories across multiple platforms?

Vlad is playing dirty politics. If someone was being fair the contract would stipulate use of their Name, Image and Likeness for a specific time period and once that is up Vlad either pays a fee to license the content again or it comes down.

If Vlad is paying somebody $4K, but then he can take that same interview and turn it into 10 clips across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and his website for years, then you did not just give him “one interview.” You gave him a content asset that can be monetized over and over again. Now the question you should be asking is not “How many views did one video get?” The question should be, “How many ways is Vlad monetizing your content?”

If someone tries to tell your value starts and end with video views, then they are being misleading and you should be very suspicious while also trapping you into being able to use your “Name, Image and Likeness” forever.

The thing is u never know what a video will do. If it bombs u not getting money then. So people will take the up-front pay.

Its like in sports yeah u have players that get a percentage of merchandise sold but not all of them. So the deal has to make sense. Like we keep saying this is not a tv network hell even there its wild west now because of streaming.

^^^^This is so true

And I hate to admit it especially to friends in the industry but it makes sense.

If I pay you 1 million to be in the movie and it flops you don't give none of that money back. But if it makes 500 million you want a bonus? (Which I actually think is fair so I'ma hypocrite)

In this case, I don't see nothing wrong with renegotiation. But thats what lawyers and managers are for - BUT talent don't want to split that money.

So you do it yourself and this is what you get.

They SHOULD have contracts and yearly reevaluate the numbers. But do you TRUST the numbers?

Boosie, Aries, Jamal etc don't want to pay all that overhead to do a show on the regular inde I independently. Ok, i get it but this is the cost of that decent.

Both sides sucker for doing it publicly. I thought this was all theatrics but I don't see why these so called black men would embarrass themselves for clout?

Then again? Yeah these fools would.

I don't watch they sh*t no way so if they gotta go they gotta go.

its called residuals

problem - youtube etc is designed to rob content creators
if a scumbag vlad vid uploaded a year ago goes viral this month, +2million views etc etc - Vlad isn't getting anywhere near the same ad payout that he would get if the same video was uploaded in the last 45 days - we're talking 10cents on a dollar if he is lucky

this is where netflix entering the podgame might shake things up if netflix doesn't have (spotify) pimpimg in their plans

residuals are dead now. unless the company are showing the true numbers. like spotify they will pay taylor swift but the rest crickets lol

You know damn well I know what residuals are bro (and how the industry has bern trying to get rid of it since stresming on the internet started).

But in modern content creation we don't have that system set and I don't know how that would even work in the insane incestuous content creation world.

At least Vlad established guests legally waiving all ownership of the content when they sit with him.

we are seeing how everyone is reacting to Netflix entering the room. I dont know if it will be a positive in the end.

This isn't as simple as a raise to me.

Me and you been arguing about Vlad specifically paying guests for years.

In fact we could even throw choke no joke dumb ass in this conversation about content ownership and extended rights.

OK, ad/marketing expert. Since you can't tell us what Aries should be getting and we are all speculating here, why don't you tell us how Aries is going make that $4000 Vlad was paying elsewhere? Clearly worth more than that in general because of his image and likeness. Maybe he can just have that other dude he does his podcast with replace Vlad's interview, right? You clearly have the solution and answer since he's thoroughly getting underpaid. So tell how does Aries replace that severely underpaid amount. I'm waiting.....

YouTube typically pays creators between $300 and $10,000+ for 100,000 views on long-form videos, with a common average falling around $1,000–$3,000. Payouts vary significantly based on niche (e.g., finance vs. gaming), viewer location, and ad engagement. YouTube Shorts pay significantly less, with 100,000 views potentially generating only roughly .

Vlad was like nobody else is paying him but him.. breakfast club ain’t paying, big boy ain’t paying, and other podcast he appeared on ain’t paying him shit, yet he got mad cause he found out he paying boosie 20,000 and him only 4000.. basically pocket watching.. he said boosie deserve the money cause of the views compared to Aries.. it’s Steve Kerr on the bench mad Jordan making 30 million a yr.. 1 nig averaging 30 points a game another nig averaging under 10 points.. it’s obvious who deserve more money

Nah, naaah, there's more to it according to @BrownTurd . Aries gotta get his long term residuals. His added subscribers per video count. His returning viewer count and all that apparently has a specific dollar figure that Youtube clearly breaks down for their content creators. Lol It's simple!:D

Vlad doesn’t make content. He uses people’s Name, image and likeness to make money. I would never license that to Vlad to make less than him off my Name, image, likeness and life stories.

Vlad don’t own YouTube or any other social media platforms. So he has no outlandish over head cost. Only naive people would sign over their Name, image and likeness for less than Vlad when he is not producing the content
Cameras, editing, a studio, equipment, staff… he dosent have a basic I’m sitting in my bedroom with Best Buy mics talking in a poorly lit room vid

Vlad does have paid memberships who get the full clips before regular viewers. He also cuts up the vids in probably 20 parts and spoon feeds the viewers upping the counts.

It can be simple, but then again it can be complicated.

Hey man I don't know!

I mean, that's pretty clear to me, but Turd said otherwise. He know what Aries value is and apparently where he can go to get that value.

Yeah, but I'm sure he can pull up the view counts on all Aries videos and that's the general basis of the revenue How the hell does Aries know those subscribers are subscribing for him only. Damn near impossible to calculate. If he wants a cut of the subscribers money the burden is on Aries to show how specific subscribers are there for him and I don't know how the hell you can even calculate that. But Turd knows and he will break that down because he owns a marketing company and that's all in a days work for him. I'm waiting on the breakdown... lol

That's y'allz manz so I'll let y'all handle it.

So handle it!

If this was a roast Vlad won the night vs Aries… the funniest shit he said was hey even faizon love get higher viewership than you… that was a first round knock out punch… Aries spears either gotta punch Vlad in the face for that or have the greatest standup shitting on Vlad life… if nigs start the but faizon love gets more views than you heckles straight ether
