Another trick I learned used the 5gal buck with some water too but instead of mosquito bits, you add some sugar, yeast & a very small amount of dish soap. This is more of a trap. They're attracted to co2, that's how they find you, specially at nite.The yeast begins to eat the sugar, basic fermention process & creates co2. As they enter the bucket & try to land on the water, they sink because the soap breaks the water surface. This is a great setup if you're planning on having a nite outside with friends & family & don't want to be eaten alive lol. Put a few of these around the area early in the day to allow the yeast to really get fermenting.“
