I thought he was ass because of the bullshit he was rapping on. Now I see why in one of his freestyles he was laughing almost saying this is some bullshitt.

Diss tracks ain't always about Lyricism. It's about what the listener can verify and find humor in.

Ether wasn't hot because of the Lyrics. It was Hot because IT WAS TRUE and FUNNY.

Takeover to me was the best - able to combine all 3.

Unless Buddens got someone in his ear telling him shit about this Lil B kid, he aint got nothing.

Ether wasnt true. Dude said Jay-Z was 36 at the time Jay was like 33, All Nas did was talk about how dude looked and shit that was never substantiated. Takeover was true. Honestly I think people said Ether won because they couldnt believe Nas could make a nice diss track. But as far as truth Nas whole song couldnt be proven.

Takeover was a better song from a listener standpoint, but Ether was more personal. Nas dissected Jay on that one.

How? All said was shit like "Oh girls called you ugly" and shit like that. To me Jay dissected nas WAY more. The publishing line was True and showed Nas lack of business acumen. Then he talked about how he was running a clothing line and how Nas got raped out of money he was supposed to get for Willie Esco gear and got nothing... which also was true. Then he talked about how Nas basically had a one hot album every ten year average...which was about true as well.. What did Nas say that was actually True about Jay? Foxy Brown? Ugly as a child? All that was like playing the dozens in school..but I will say Ether had the better beat...

Now with the said the best diss in that battle to me was Jays Diamonds are forever..he killed Nas in that..
