Nobody's "covering for whitey" as you put it. Nowhere did I say he was the criminal of the century. I said that white people are making mountains out of mole hills with this. It's not news worthy. With this news, I think Vick's playing days are over. IF he's able to come back it won't be in Atlanta, that bridge has been burned. I'm not sure if teams would be willing to sign him, whatever team that picks him up would be in the middle of a media circus and they'd probably get all kinds of backlash from fans.
It's estimated that he'll lose about 140 million dollars from all of this. He was making millions, was the face of Atlanta (the capital of black America) sports, there are people who would kill to be in the position that he was in. He had the world at his feet and he just pissed it all away. Man, give me a million dollars and I'd be happy. Hell, give me 500k and I'd be content. Another thing, if M. Vick was so evil then how come we waited so long to charge him of dog crimes. He had been dog fighting with pitbulls since he joined the league. But it's not until they raid that we stop and say, " You know what, you're a very bad man", "He needs to be tried for killing thousands of dogs".
Uhhh, no one knew he was fighting dogs until they raided the property looking for drugs and then stumbled upon the dogs and dogfighting equipment. Only later did they find out that it was Vick who owned the property.
vick admitted in his only press conference on the subject that it was 'an immature thing to do and michael vick needs to grow up.' problem is he STILL hasn't done that. you DON'T smoke weed when you KNOW you have surprise drug tests coming......especially while you await your sentencing and know the entire world is looking at you.

They weren't looking for anything. Part of the conditions for his release on bail (until sentencing) was that he stay clean of drugs (and stay out of further trouble). Standard procedure. He's lucky that they gave him another chance to remain out of jail (though he'll be under home confinement and subject to more random tests). Another flunked test (or other rule violation) and he'll blow what little freedom he has left.
