thellc said:I keep hearing everbody saying that Lebron is the next Jordan and that Kobe might be the next Jordan. or that Lebron is never going to be as good as kobe and Jordan. or kobe is never going to be as good as jordan. but keep this in mind, the game of basketball keeps evolving. In the 70's u had players such as Dr. J who was supposed to be the greatest and people were saying that he was going to be the greatest. Then when Magic came on the scene people were saying he was going to be the greatest. then Jordan came and people are saying that he's going to be the greatest. when u look at the history of basketball there is always somebody who comes along and surpasses the so-called greatest. Like it or not somebody in this generation is going to be better than Jordan. whether is Lebron or Kobe or whoever. someone is going to surpass Jordan.
The difference is that those great players had weaknesses. Jordan didn't. He had a complete game on both sides of the ball. He was an assassin. He also had the personal & team accomplishments to go along with his game. He raised the bar too high.
What would a player have to do as far as personal & team accomplishments to surpass Jordan? While the others left room for improvement, he didn't.
