Learning Daz 3d

The flags are easy. Just find regular 3d flags and switch out the texture (Layered Image Editor), ie the jpg of the nazi flag from google. You can edit the Surfaces of all 3D figures to make tattoos, make-up, blemishes, cuts, bruises, etc. Check out the Surfaces Tab and the Surface Tool.

There is a set from Daz that I have to find, I saw it about a week ago and bookmarked it, but I can't remember where right now! It was a set of like, Wizard outfits or religious monk outfits that looked JUST LIKE KLAN costumes. I'll find it soon and send you the link.

Yo how do you save JUST facial expressions and not the whole pose? I know how to save a pose but there's no option on just saving a face. It's got to be possible tho.

File -> Save As -> Pose Preset. Select a filename and then ensure you only select the face when the dialog box shows up. This will ensure that only the expression is saved rather than the figure's entire body pose.

You don't see these options until you actually click save.

Expand the figure tab when you save the export and select the items you need to be part of the export.

I was wondering is there a program that can make still poses universal for all models from V3 all the way up to genesis 8 or will you just have to adjust and make your own presets?

If you have Generation 3/4 poses (Victoria 34, Aiko 3/4, Michael 3/4, The Girl 4), you can load them onto Generation 5 (Genesis 1), save them as pose presets , then load the pose preset onto Generation 7 (Genesis 3) characters. Also, there is a morph by AgentUnawares (https://www.deviantart.com/agentunawares/art/G3F-to-G8F-World-s-Greatest-Pose-Converter-709591348) that converts Generation 8 (Genesis 8) characters to a T-pose, which will then allow Genesis 3 poses to work properly on Genesis 8 characters.

The only thing figure missing is Genesis 2, which I'm not sure about at the moment. Genesis 2 to Genesis 3 Pose Converter by Zev0 will work.

I spent time yesterday working with morphs to get this hip/thigh/glute shape based off a v4 character. At the moment I haven't been able to transfer v4 morphs to G8 yet, need to get hold of a PC. V4 morphs/shapes has this crazy good-looking shape that is hard to come by in G8. But I pulled it off, very satisfied!!

I'm working on these braids. Visual Style Shaders is a shader that allows you to "cartoonize" any surface, giving you a flat, uniform color. I'm converting these braids into looking more like a cartoon by redrawing the braid hair where it connects to the scalp. I'm drawing this in Adobe Animate, which is a good companion to Daz for postwork when comes to cartoon shit. It's a bitch drawing all this little spikes, lol.

Also worked out this Afro from Fara & Mbali Hair.

This is a character I'm working on. I have a lot more work to do on her.

I have this script that some dude made that makes titties and ass jiggle when the figure moves. But he took the script down and disappeared off the internet!!! So it only works on Daz 4.10 or lower. I'm glad I downloaded it when I had the chance. Whew!! The script works for G1, G2, G3 & G8.

Oh yeah, Zev0 has the essential morphs! The jiggle script I have uses the glute morph pack from Zev0. I'm not a modeler yet though, I'm just dialing morphs until I get the results I want. Def ALL the Zev0 stuff is must have!

One more experiment I did.

I have this pack of characters from this chick from Atlanta named reciecup. She used to make black characters that had some strong Black features, mostly for V4. She had like 60-70 characters for V4 & M4. I took the morph settings from one of her characters and applied them to Genesis 8. It's not exact but it was a good exercise in getting acquainted with the morphs. These are the Genesis 8 Female Head & Body Morphs solely.
