Laser Hair Removal

Don't know about that one man. That forum in my first post has professionals electrologist on there. Even the folks that have done both have said it hurts.
The big con of it is it takes a LONG time while laser is very fast. I was in and out in about 15 minutes(the laser process I would say took about 10 mins for me). Electrologist have to hit every single hair you want removed so you looking at a hour or longer. You are correct that it is a permanent thing though.

I just finished my 9th treatment on my head about 1.5 weeks ago. A world of difference in PAIN from getting your face done.
Not to brag or anything, but I'm just gonna throw it out there...fuck it. 9/10 niggas who attempt to get this procedure done will NOT see it through. The head is the most densely populated hair growing area on the body.....the tech who does my treatments says she can't even imagine how I do it.
The thing is, once you start YOU MUST FINISH OR YOUR SHIT WILL NOT GROW RIGHT OR LOOK RIGHT EVER AGAIN! I cannot stress this enough!
I say this because the hair grows in 3 phases: anagen, catagen, and telogen. The laser can only target the hair when it is the growing phase (anagen phase). Therefore, if you were to start and decide it was too much.....some areas would have NO hair growing, some areas would have lighter hair growth, and some areas won't be affected at all. Even if you shave your head...it will not look right.
I'm about done. 1-2 more treatments and I will not have a shadow AT ALL. A perfectly bald head. The "hair growth" is so fine now, that I can go for about full month and still have it look like I just hit it with a razor.
Now, You cannot tell where my hairline began or ended. Just a few very small patches where hair grows thicker than usual.
And one more thing, most hair removal places won't treat your head for some reason, but never had a problem with mine.

King of Post I wanted to ask you if the pain gets worse on the face. I have no idea. I mean since they will be going up in power settings I figured it's gonna hurt more, but I realize that since the hair has been treated and will not be as coarse as it was before that it should make my future treatments not hurt as much right?

Make sure you choose yag laser. This is how I found my place. When I did more searching I found there were whole lot more places to choose from.
that part right there is intriguing as hell. shaving with or against the grain never really bothered my skin, but it always annoyed me that you can see where the hairline would be no matter how close i shave. the only way you dont see it if i let the hair grow out a bit then cut it. got me really thinking now...

Just called my clinic told me if the patches of hair on my face don't fall off by Monday to call so I can come in for free to make sure I get my money's worth.
Black dudes I'm telling you I had that dark skin around my beard and mouth area and have been using creams to try to lighten it for years(gave that shit up long time ago). Man I don't know if it's b/c I have pretty much the closest shave I ever had or the use of shea butter but I can see an improvement of my skin tone already in my shaving area.
I'm loving what I'm seeing right now

Another quick update: Want to break you off with some bad news just so you don't think everything is perfect with this. Not terrible news though.
Well on both sides of my chin I have patches of hair that didn't fall out. What sucks is I'm getting ingrown hairs now for some reason. The chick that did my laser treatment is not very experienced, I am the first black guy she has done treatment for the face. You probably should avoid someone like that, but I did not give a fuck b/c they had the type of laser black guys need and I get free touch ups.Now if they don't offer free touch ups don't fuck with a person with little experience at all b/c I'm positive they won't overlap properly and it will cause them to miss spots.
Went to the hair forum and found out people with experience will draw grids on your face so they won't miss a spot. I also learned that the male face is the hardest to do especially the chin area,that's why I think you have to do at least 6 treatments. For a guys face you will be doing more than 6 treatments.
Good news is it seems like I'm right on schedule like everyone else they all pretty much had problems with their chin area but after their 2nd treatment that area got much better so we shall see.

Ok got my free touch up done this past Friday. I went in and told her she bet not fuck up anymore so she gave me a white pencil eyeliner and had me mark where I want her to hit. This should help in them not missing spots.
Also after my first treatment I used clear aloe vera. Put it in the icebox and did a 10 min on 10 min off to my face.
Well after my touch up I decided not to do it for some reason and ended up with a bunch of white small pimple like bumps on my face, so I suggest you do what your clinic tells you to do.

Wanted to update had my second full session today. I was thinking the pain would be less but it was about the same. I does not hurt at all to me but I do feel it. Everyone should be able to handle it though.
I kinda wondering if I will even need to do 6 treatments b/c the hair that was growing back was very thin and I could barely see it, and I'm noticing that I have no signs of ingrown hairs on the areas treated over a month ago and the touch up areas treated like 3 and half weeks ago.

Got done with #5 today and it was painful. I think I'm gonna go back to taking advil 30 min before the procedure. I think 7 total treatments will be good enough we shall see. Side of my mouth seems to be the hardest spot for them had a couple of hairs that still seem to be same when I started this but most of the hair growing in those areas is fine hair. I would say in the last 4 months maybe longer I got a total of 2 ingrown hairs. That beats getting one every time I shave. Well that is my update this time around.
