Without those pictures there would be no proof that the incident ever happened. This incident would have been swept under the rug and garnered a one inch article on the back page of the LA times. None of us would have likely even known about it.
Keep in mind that according to the LAPD she was never even detained. Now they have a basis for a police brutality lawsuit. They have also exposed the LAPD's racism to the entire world.
