Lamborghini, the iconic Italian automaker known for its high-performance gas-powered supercars, has taken a bold step into the electric future. The company has officially announced its departure from gasoline-powered vehicles and unveiled its new fully electric concept, the Lanzador Lamborghini.

This revolutionary model represents a seismic shift in Lamborghini's lineup, signaling their commitment to eco-friendly innovation and pushing the boundaries of electric vehicle technology.

Here's all the details and photos of this masterpiece posted by @BBC_TopGear on X:

What sets the Lanzador apart is its all-electric powertrain. It's the fourth model introduced by Lamborghini, joining the existing Revuelto, Urus, and the upcoming Huracán replacement. Lamborghini's commitment to going electric is further emphasized by their plans to transform these existing models into plug-in hybrids by the end of 2024.

According to Top Gear, even though it's officially labeled a concept, the Lanzador's features bring it incredibly close to a vehicle ready for the showroom. The concept is powered by dual electric motors, positioned on each axle, working together to produce an impressive power output of over one megawatt, which roughly translates to about 1,350 horsepower.

To enhance its driving performance, the Lanzador incorporates rear-wheel steering, self-leveling air suspension, and an advanced high-performance battery designed to deliver both power and range.

Though the exact range of the Lanzador's battery isn't specified, Lamborghini's CEO Stephan Winkelmann suggests a minimum of 300 miles, with the possibility of technological advancements pushing that figure closer to 400 miles as the car's release date approaches in 2028.

Here's what the internet had to say:

User @garethjones123 said, "Lamborghinis are all about their engines. What's Lamborghini about that thing? It could be vaporware from half a dozen Chinese EV makers."

Then @yeezy_jmz added, "From the front it’s not far off an MG4."

And @marcelmtl retorted, "If the world still exists then."

What do you think?
