Actually Kris played himself against Nelly, that was obviously a 50 cent tactic of gaining attention. I ended up gaining more respect for Nelly over the whole situation, because he's the one who handled it like the adult and older person.

Not true...I can name a list of rappers that would eat him in a battle. You have to remember that he stated himself that he write a verse a year to diss damn near all the rappers who were hot that year as a safe precaution. I remember when Kool G Rap ripped him in this night club because KRS was dissing (rapping) some dude and thought the female we all know as "Superhead" was this guy's girl not knowing she was with G-Rap. That's not to mention that KRS admitted in an interview by stating if you want to know where real battle MCs are, go to Newark because that's where he lost his battle at (Newark, NJ).

Even though he is respected he is not invincible.

yes sir. kris can still end a career. he's is the best battle rapper of all time (to me) and they don't really want a 45 year old rapper to take it to their asses.

most of these rappers handle beef with threats and actual physical shit now-a-days. kris will simply create a song that that points out the TRUTH and expose weak MC status.

Krs - one is the last of his generation. One of the best performers and historians of the craft. His definition of hip hop cannot be denied. His problem is ever since he left Jive, he hasn't had the machine behind him and as a result most people don't have a clue who he is and what he means to the culture, So like Nelly, they disrespect him (poorly disrespect him at that). His comments on Def Jam are true. but with that he doesn't dis the culture as a whole (or even a single artist for that matter.) He is just recognizing the long term effects that the Def Jam format has had on the industry.

If you want to get rid or totally turn down the Krs-One message, Someone else with more fans and sales than him will have to speak up more than when they are promoting there next album. But since most of those people are the face of their respective labels, that shit will never happen.
