lol @ bgol and trolls, it's the only fcuking place where people hate in unison and co sign each others dumb and hateful nonsense for no damn reason....

We know it doesn't matter what Kobe did or didn't do, y'all hearts are so hard like the rock of Gibraltar against that ninja and y'all are always gonna find the lamest and silliest reason to slime and discount that brother...

Good to know the rest of the world is ahead of you shortsighted, self denying and self defeating crabs.. y'all will always find a way to discredit and put down one of your own. Ninjas ain't never gonna learn....

Who in this thread discredited kobe? Don't pull a officer ricky and get all sensitive cause no one is cosigning the OP. Kobe is an amazing talent hands down he is the best player in the league today, but to give him goat status is madness. I'll judge Kobe's career when he calls it quits. I swear stans is fucking the game up:smh:

should probaby show thevid of the 18 year old Kobe giving MJ 33 when Mj was guarding him.

Probably a better indication.Kobe didn't even know he game then and gave MJ the best player in the league at the time numbers.

team captain Q Richardson fought a tough battle putting up 2 entire points

Kobe Also Hold Another MSG Record.

First Nigga To Almost Get KNOCKED OUT in Madison Square Garden while NOT in a Boxing Match.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Pau Gasol wasn't looking a couple of times when Kobe Bryant attempted a free throw. So when the Madison Square Garden fans cheered, Gasol assumed that meant his Los Angeles Lakers teammate missed.
But on this record-setting night, even the opposing crowd wanted to see history.

In the 41 years since the current Garden opened, no player has scored more points than Bryant did Monday. He finished with 61, breaking Bernard King's mark of 60 for the Knicks on Christmas 1984 against New Jersey.

Bryant shot 19-of-31 from the floor and made all 20 foul shots as the Lakers beat the Knicks 126-117. He surpassed King's total by hitting two free throws with 2:33 left.

"When he came to the bench in the second quarter, he kind of had this dazed look on his face," teammate Lamar Odom said. "Some call it the zone. He was just in another world. I don't think it probably mattered what shot he took or how he took it. It probably would've went in."

Bryant is often mischievous when he has one of those in-the-zone nights, smiling after shots, joking with opponents. But in the Lakers' first game since losing center Andrew Bynum to a knee injury, Bryant wasn't goofing around.

"I noticed that, too," coach Phil Jackson said. "I noticed his mood was very determined, very somber about him."

Jackson also was the coach when Michael Jordan set the previous Garden record for most points by an opponent with 55 for Chicago on March 28, 1995. He recalled that Jordan was playing in just his fifth game in 22 months.

"He wasn't really totally himself as a player yet," Jackson said. "We just stuck him in the post."

He added, "Both remarkable performances."
Bryant said he didn't know Jordan owned that record.

"But I watched the game, actually, when he had that game," he said, "just oohing and aahing and just marveling at the performance, as I'm sure we all were."

The Knicks played their first game at the current Madison Square Garden, known as "Garden IV," in February 1968.
Bryant's night quickly became the talk of the league.

"I've never had a night like that," said Heat guard Dwyane Wade, who scored 32 in Miami's win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night. "You could tell, just watching the highlights, he had a pep in his step and he was on a mission. With Bynum out, he's going to have to do a little more, and I think he understands that. I mean, 61 points, that's Kobe -- that's all you can say."

Hearing Wade, Heat rookie Michael Beasley became wide-eyed.
"Kobe scored 61?" he asked. "You serious?"

This is the way I see it...

The Knicks aren't exactly the Knicks of old, and they haven't been for awhile...

...however, no one else hung 61 on 'em despite the fact that they've sucked for awhile. If it's nothing to brag about, then someone else would have done the same, or better by now...

hold up lil dick rider

kobe is a bad man

but MJ did it against the real knicks teams, who played real D

fall back

cs...........exactly, aint no one droppin 130 points in a game agains a squad with legitimate defense.

Igizzle, I've been a Kobe fan since '95. He wasn't even out of high school at that point, but I saw him play, and believe it or not, I predicted his future greatness THEN, and everyone thought I was insane.

However...

As great as Kobe is, Jordan is a more reliable franchise player. It's not that Jordan has never had bad games, and didn't have to struggle to ascend to the top of the NBA food chain, but Jordan's mentality is more stable than Kobe's. You know, first and above all else, Jordan wanted to win. I've seen Kobe give up on his team, or carry out secret agenda's on the court, where he wouldn't shoot the ball. Case-in-point, for as great of a defender as Tayshaun Prince is, Kobe Bryant tanked that finals. I have every last one of those games recorded, so I know what I'm talking about. Every time Kobe drove on Tayshaun, he scored. Kobe drove very little to the basket, however.

Kobe is the man of a million pump-fakes. I've never seen anyone who will twist, up-fake, and literally do anything he can imagine to get himself a clean look at the basket - but against Tayshaun, all he did was stand there, and just pull up for jumpers. No pump faking, no nothing. Tayshaun is too long for that, and Kobe knew that before he ever made it to the finals.

Also, against the Sacramento Kings, Kobe froze himself out of the offense, because it was said he was shooting too much. So, he passed the ball like he was the 10th man, and Shaq ended up yelling at him about shooting. Gary Payton was like, 'Kobe! Man get into the offense!" Kobe was like, "I got that on my radar." and proceeded to do exactly what they didn't want him to do...

I believe Kobe's dream was to be the man on the Lakers, and if the Lakers WON the championship, what would have been the point of breaking the team up?? Now, I think Shaq helped HIMSELF get shipped out of Los Angeles with his contract demands, but Kobe definitely helped to sink that team, making it less likely that the Lakers would bring everyone back.

Kobe CAN play team ball when he wants to(Kobe can do A LOT of things when he wants to. His recent streak of double-digit assists and triple doubles are proof), but he MAY always be a single-minded, me-first player, in my opinion. His talent will allow him to appear as if he's playing team ball, but I've seen this dude long enough to know that his dream, more than anything, was to be a one man show. He wants to win, but he wants to do it while he's dropping outrageous amounts of points as well...

The problem is, Kobe miscalculated how difficult it would be to become the G.O.A.T. Jordan had a much better shot selection than Kobe, and ultimately a better shooting percentage. Kobe is just fascinated with his own skill and athleticism, and refuses to just do what he does best. He HAS to do the spectacular. Perhaps as he get's older, and can no longer do what he's doing, he'll settle for efficiency over style...

So, yeah ... like you, I'm a Kobe Bryant. I've worn the jerseys(I ain't doing that shit anymore), I watch the games, and I've followed his career closely since day 1. However, Kobe Bryant is not Michael Jordan. Kobe is amongst the most elite scorers in NBA history, but his me first attitude, and his unwillingness to choose efficiency over style, will place him below Jordan at the end of his career.

But, hey ... how many dudes have had the next-Jordan hype placed on them, and still maintained a high level of play through out there career? Kobe is the only one to manage that, I feel.

There really is no need for you defending a multimillionaire on a board that he couldn't give a shit about. But hey :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

ok and what was his other stats lookin like?

0 rebounds 3 assists 2 turnovers 1 block
not amazing. you know it's bad when your center and forwards got more assists than you. good thing they won.

wtf. so now a player cant have a good scoring game unless he does everything else? they won the game, didnt they? Yall acting like Gasol didnt step up also. If this were lebron or wade, no one would question what other stats he had. dudes is crazy.

why cant a center or forward have more assists than a SG? is that in the rule book?
