What will the USA give up though?

Why is it that ever other countries have to give up something but never the USA?

Why should the USA have nuclear weapons and continue testing and give no allowance in cutting back on their activity?

Why does world peace have to come at the cost of a few countries giving up their nuclear capacities but never others including Israel?

If lil Kim destroys his weapons I'd be surprised as hell, unless the situation is really really bad over there. The sanctions gotta be crippling.

I always wondered this also, you gonna tell me I can have a knife but you have swords, cutlasses, machetes etc.....

When asked the replies I get back are normally is, "Where do your ass live", "They building nukes that can reach here"

Bullshit ass answers

Lol...

You're a funny cat Simply_Black!

The answer is obvious and it's because the U.S. and all those major countries are more "Rationale" and "Civil" while the rest of those other countries are more "Irresponsible" and "Savage". Thus they shouldn't have Nukes and should expect those with Nukes to make the best decision, never invade them and ultimately protect the rest of the world.

BTW: I'm being sarcastic here...

The US has had nukes in Korea for more than 60 years. These are
the same nukes which Douglas McArthur wanted to nuke 26 Chinese
cities with during the Korean war. So brazen, crazy and out of control
was he that he actually did practise runs, against the wish president
of the US president. For this reason, the bugger was removed from
command and forced to return to the US.

From the US point of view, this formed the deterrence (together with
1 million landmines) against the overwhelmingly superior numbers
of the North Koreans, who had 1 million men ready to overrun the
40, 000 Americans at the border....

The presence of the nukes was a sore point to North Korea, and if the
deal is that Kim will get rid of his nukes for the US getting rid of theirs
and eliminating sanctions, Kim has won.

The US position has been that North Korea must unilaterally cough
up the nukes. This is why Obama, Bush etc all refused to meet Kim.
They viewed giving up the US nukes on the Korean peninsula as
blackmail

To be fair, I like the deal where the US denuclearises; why should
they have nukes if North Korea does not? And why does South
Korea need American troops? It is more populous than North
Korea, and has a far superior economy. It has a modern army of
650, 000 that is among the 10 strongest int the world. It does not
need US help to defeat North Korea.

This may be the very first time in your entire BGOL history that you've written something that is both legible and actually substantive.

IMO, more historic than Orange and Lil Kim meeting.

It's funny because I was just about to reply to Nzinga's post with almost a same response.

Man please, I do not need your backhanded compliment. Just
say and admit that I educated and improved you, and leave it
at that

See now you're doing too much!

This is likely the first time in this verse and the next you've gotten a compliment and don't know how to act.

I get it! Don't fret, I'm a good guy, and it's my duty to instruct you.

5 years from now when you make another meaningful contribution just say, "Thanks!"

As you were!

I don't buy any real history being made, but if Kim said he would de-nuke, then it's a win for Trump. Because all Trump was going to do is claim a win on some BS dialogue, anyway. He already knows that his base doesn't care about the truth to begin with, so if he starts saying, "I got Kim to give up his nukes..." they'll parrot that even as the missiles drop onto Hawaii....

Oh absolutely! What's happened "sounds" big and may end up being big.

But, as of right now, when you look at what actually committed to on paper, the answer is nothing!

It's based on words and nothing more.

Who knows maybe those words will hold true. But considering the players involved.

So we agreed to stop military exercises in exchange for......????? Yeah I really think this was a waste of time and money the bigger news is the G7 bullshit he pulled. Also we just helped China expand their territory:smh:

I would assume since the great negotiator was representing the US that stoppage is contingent upon completed aspects of NK denuclearization.

I read the agreement they signed. it seems like it's an agreement to negotiate further. Essentially, they just wanted to sign something.

That's how he operates and he's telling it blatantly to the slow of mind and lead of heart.

Bottomline, I make shit up and if I'm wrong I make up even more shit.

I'm the POTUS what could possibly go wrong?

How many lives could I possibly ruin with this approach?

How much irreparable damage could I possibly do?

Man I just fucking saw this shit... and my Mind if fucking blown...

Trump: We are going to stop the regular joint military exercises they are expensive and “very provocative”.

Repubs: This is a great victory for the American People.

Kim-Jong-Un:

To me, this is what pisses me off the most about the people that support him. Trump will straight up admit off the cuff that he's king of bullshit, and these assholes are still ride-or-die for him like he only speaks the truth.

Let me play Devil's advocate here.

They know he's an asshole that shouldn't be anywhere near the white house and that he's likely deeply tied with Russia and that he's doing all kinds of illegal shit.

Who else is going to ride "for" them? (Note I use the term for them here loosely)

Honestly, Who else is going to call blacks and other minorities "shit holes" and "son of bitches etc?" The way they publically want to do every day.

Who else is going openingly institute policies that help keep the White Man on top?

They look around them and see "scary" progress by minorities in positions of power. Hell, A BLACK MAN, become POTUS. How scary is that?

What else can be accomplished?

etc etc etc

Honestly, When you start to think of it in those ways it truly starts to make sense.

Here is the thing that I'm arguing with Repubs on Facebook about...

Unless Kim agrees to allow UN inspectors inside his country to oversee the dismantling of the weapons.......... how would you even know that he is going to do shit.

Seriously... How do we even know he has an arsenal of nukes? NO ONE goes inside his country.

Dude probably got Trump to agree to the end of Joint Military operations and (my guess) the eventual withdrawal of the US from South Korea .................. completely off of Ducktales and Fairy Dust.

I don't know that this is so much Devil's advocate as a dead on summation of the psyche of Trump Supporters. There've been a few studies that pointed out pretty clearly that most of his voters were motivated by racial anxiety over anything else. So of course they feel like they have a champion.

He's overweight, intellectually lazy, inarticulate, insecure, and white. He gives them comfort because he is everything that they are... and everything Obama wasn't.

clown shit

I'll personally admit, If there is one thing this Trump "Presidency" has to me it's how much I underestimated White/Rich/Power.

I can't even begin to imagine any other POTUS...forget that any Non-White person in ANY job acting like this and not being fired immediately if not sooner.

I see your power white man! I really do!

Also ...

Does anybody else find it odd that a couple months ago... these two were going at it on Twitter about shooting bombs at each other...

But now they are sitting down talking about an historic agreement right after a bunch of Russian individuals were indicted by Mueller for trying to sway the election.

As crazy as this sounds, today is honestly a low point in modern US history :smh::angry:

If you recall, the dossier mentioned that there was fuckery in China that would far outweigh the Russian bullshit. We now are starting to see the full extent of the BS.

You have to compare the full text of this agreement from 1994 to understand ridiculousness of the current "agreement"

Full text of agreement: https://2001-2009.state.gov/t/ac/rls/or/2004/31009.htm

This is another "agreement" that Bush negotiated in 2005:

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2005/sep/20/northkorea

Finally, we have been removing military remains in North Korea since 1993:
