You're kidding right, did you listen to or read the transcript. In order to solve the problems of present and future, you have to know where you're coming from.
I stand what I stated and I want to add few things. African-American were stripped of their link to the African continent, their tribes, origins and have been trying find that identity ever since. We have been latching on Ancient Egyptian culture, wanting to be Israelites, Moors, Native Americans, and even reaching current African nations to bridge that identity gap.
African-American there is nothing wrong finding that identity like a orphan/adopted child would seek he/she is from but if you can get that information, go with what you have and go from there.
It is important to learn the these lesson but it wasted if we don't apply those lesson to today and work on moving forward, building new legacies and develop our own form of supremacy since that's the only way to beat White Supremacy.
