He was not average, he was a below average rapper. But we (people like me) were so tired of the caricature of street rap that seemed to jump the shark with 50 cents reemergence unto the rap scene, we sucked it up with gusto.
If given the opportunity again, I will choose the new braggadocio rap over street rap any day. Have you ever listened to underground rap? I never wanted to go there again.
