We use the word genius why to lightly. He's not genius just someone who made some good music once upon a time. Now he needs a host of writers and producers to even do that now.
See i'm torn. As a rapper....he was solid to above average. But his albums were masterful. And I don't even hold it against him now that he gets a bunch of people together just as long as its his idea. But hell that's in question IMO because some of this shit is ass. He's rapping like Migos sometimes rapping like Travis Scott.....I don't even hear Ye in his shit. I can tell immediately when someone either wrote some shit for him or gave him ideas because they DNA be all on it. Travis Scott and sometime ago Cudi were all evident in his music.
