Justice League MOVIE Discussion (The SynderCut Drops 3/18/2021)

You don't realize how bad the coloring is until you see these side by side scenes people are posting on YouTube.

Zack Snyder must be colorblind and mad everyone else can see color.
I still prefer the Snyder cut because the Whedon movie suffered from oversaturation like the aquaman film and it had spy kids shark boy cgi quality. The last 30 minutes was especially horrible. I agree that Snyder version couldve used a slightly brighter tone but not as much as whedons version. I saw the movie on a free streaming app which has less better quality than it should but I still enjoyex it.

In 2007, Warner Bros & director George Miller tried to bring a Justice League movie to the big screen and despite everything going right for this movie, things seemed to fall apart at the 11th hour, leading the movie to be cancelled.

This won't go uver well with the fanboys because in this story Batman snaps Maxwell Lord's neck and kills him. If the fanboys threw a hissyfit over Batman indirectly killing criminals in bvs and Superman snapping zods neck then they will really get their panties in a bunch over that. If not then they are a bunch of hypocrites

I believe In the comics during the OMAC series, it was Wonder Woman who killed him.

Superman hated her afterwards

What WB's Snyderverse Cancellation Means For Justice League 2
With Warner Bros. officially not continuing the Snyderverse for their DC properties, what does this mean for Justice League 2 and the DCEU?

With Zack Snyder's Justice League marking the end of the Snyderverse, what does this mean for Justice League 2 and other DC properties from Warner Bros.? Thanks to a passionate fandom that led to the creation of the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement, the filmmaker had the chance to bring his vision to life in a 4-hour cut. Based on multiple critics' reviews and audience responses, Zack Snyder's Justice League was mostly received positively and seems to have done well analytically. Despite its mostly positive reception, Warner Bros. CEO Ann Sarnoff denied plans to continue so-called Snyderverse. Sarnoff did recognize the excitement and hard work that the Snyder Cut fans had put in to get this film released, though.

But despite being supportive of Snyder getting to release his Justice League movie, Sarnoff confirmed the 4-hour cut "completes the trilogy" since Warner Bros. is looking to go in other directions with the DC brand. Sarnoff's comments about the end of Zack Snyder's Justice League universe have received mixed responses - understandably so. With not much data released on how the Snyder Cut has performed, Warner Bros. is choosing to go forward with other projects and filmmakers. But in the long run, what does this mean for their current DC plans, and what are the chances of seeing any type of Justice League 2? Given that the Snyder Cut is taking place in its own continuity, Warner Bros. has technically been able to release themselves from that world.

But that doesn't necessarily solve the problem that will be on their hands in the near future. While the theatrical cut is what it is, Warner Bros. has still been moving forward with some of the characters in their own franchises. A third Wonder Woman film is in development and Aquaman 2 will be entering production this year; plus, The Flash movie is finally releasing in 2022. Those are the characters - who Snyder even cast himself - that can continue with sequels even if they aren't tied to Zack Snyder's Justice League. While Ben Affleck's Batman won't have a solo film, he will return in The Flash with Ezra Miller's Barry Allen, even though it won't be tied to the events of the Snyder Cut. The larger issue here is the Snyder Cut won't have a Zack Snyder's Justice League 2 and Zack Snyder's Justice League 3 that gets to conclude the director's planned storylines for his trilogy and the main characters, but those characters aren't going anywhere.

The cancellation of the Snyderverse, more than anything, affects Henry Cavill's Superman and Ray Fisher's Cyborg, especially the latter due to the ongoing dispute between him and WarnerMedia. Given that a Superman reboot is in the works, Cavill's time might be over, but that particular detail remains to be seen. While they'd do a Justice League 2, it'd be a big stretch for WB to connect it to the theatrical cut, which itself was a failure both financially and critically. Patty Jenkins has admitted that she and other DC directors aren't considering the Whedon cut as canon to their respective franchises. The only way a Justice League 2 happens is if they create a new franchise after The Flash, with that film doing an adaption of Flashpoint.

It's been suggested the Scarlet Speedster's film will either reboot or retcon certain elements of the DCEU. If it's true, it'd likely be elements and aspects of the current franchise that Warner Bros. wants to distance themselves from by using The Flash's time-travel. The idea that a Justice League 2 would happen as a continuation of the 2017 film is impractical and a big step backward due to its history and controversy. If a Zack Snyder's Justice League 2 can't happen, then there's no logic in doing a follow-up to what was released in theaters by Whedon. The only scenario where Justice League will stand again is through a soft reboot that would have to be set up by The Flash or creating an entirely new DC cinematic universe as part of their Multiverse strategy.

I fucking hated that scene. Whenever I watch Endgame I fast forward through that and every part Captain Marvel is in.

Basically Warner Bros is leaving money on the table.

New DC Fan Movement #RestoreTheSnyderVerse Trends, Hits 1 Million Tweets

After the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League, DC fans are backing a new social media campaign to #RestoreTheSnyderVerse.

DiscussingFilm announced that the hashtag to "Restore the SnyderVerse" hit a major milestone when it was spotted trending worldwide with over one million tweets calling for Warner Bros. to allow Snyder to finish his DC Extended Universe plan. More SnyderVerse supporters joined the movement in the aftermath of Snyder's Justice League, which debuted on HBO Max on March 18, 2021.

The Snyder cut itself was released after a legion of fans coalesced into an online collective that, ultimately, a major motion picture studio could not ignore, resulting, in part, with the studio giving them exactly what they demanded by greenlighting Snyder's version of Justice League, the movie he began but which Joss Whedon finished after Snyder left the project.

As many DC fans already know, the planned Justice League trilogy is no longer happening, even though the newly released Snyder cut ends on a massive cliffhanger. Snyder has already explained why the film sets up a direct sequel that is now not likely to happen, despite having ideas on how the potential trilogy could have ended with a shock new superhero, and much, much more.

Plot rumors about Snyder's Justice League 2 have circulated for years, with Kevin Smith claiming the sequel would have seen the superheroes traveling to Apokolips to confront Darkseid. There was even chatter the second film would have ended on a downbeat note in the vein of Empire Strikes Back, while a third and final film would have been the final end battle between the Justice League and Darkseid.

For now, though, we have four hours of Snyder's Justice League to sit and dissect, with extended fight scenes, a different aspect ratio, new character designs, and deleted scenes to examine. IGN has put together a breakdown of how the new iteration of the film differs from Whedon's theatrical version of Justice League from 2017, including how much of the film is presented in slow motion.

ScreenRant dropped the best and quickest Idea that I've seen so far .....

Finish his shit with an Epic Animated Franchise ....

I don't want to see an animated version. We've already seen this stuff animated. People want this live action. I personally want to see Cavill get his 3 Superman movies. I want to see Deathstroke and Batman live action.

Zack Snyder must be colorblind and mad everyone else can see color.
I'm so confused to why a filmmaker would strip his film of color. Especially a Superhero film....

Man WB ain't dumb they know this shit ain't real. They restore that Snyderverse shit and they will go right back to making mediocre movies and getting shitted on by DC. Just start fresh. Maybe once they get their shit together they can link back up with Snyder but they can do much better than this colorless shit and slow motion fight scenes he's putting.

Warner Bros vs Warner Media...

Warner Bros. will not continue the Snyderverse....but Warner Media (HBO Max) will.

Watch.

You mean DC Entertainment vs Warner Bros./WarnerMedia vs AT&T...

AT&T is probably the reason will even have a Snyder Cut and HBO Max...

AT&T need to separate DC Entertainment from WarnerMedia...

Too many WB execs dictating DC properties and content...

It does seem like it’s a matter of time now... I thought WB wasn’t trying to show this on the big screen

to me this seemed like an obvious plan, when he released it in that aspect ratio. It also makes sense for WB to do whatever they can to re-coup some of the costs, if they really spent that much to finish it. Remember, WB also said we would never see this version to begin with.

BTW, Joss Whedon must really be a racist because what he did to Cyborg's character in the original was CRIMINAL. They made him literally a robot in the 1st one. The Snydercut did him a lot more justice and his storyline. I'm not really familiar with his character so its a shock to me to see how in depth they went with his character.

cac erased every trace of his humanity. Removed his entire family dynamic including all references of his mother and cut all scenes that showed his father as being driven by love and loss.

This guy gets it.

Warner Media will soon secretly have a serious talk Snyder regarding how to pull this off as inexpensive as possible while maintaining the high quality he has established.

Regarding streaming and general buzz, DC won these past couple of week hands down. There subscriptions are outpacing all competitors. Disney subscribers are already locked in. Not many new subscribers. The Snydervere would be a huge driver.

Right and for what? To save time? Shit was silly.

He fucked around and stripped the humanity out of the whole damn film. None of the heroes really any humanity...hell we get a cold ass Batman and the only reference to that is seeing Robin's suit....

But its clear that Flash's character was to bring a more comedic side to the film and Cyborg's character was suppose to bring some form of heart and compassion to the story and man he must let his feelings get in the fucking way.

Decided to check out The Snyder Cut last night and D/L'ed it and hit play. I didn't realize it is 4 hours long! Hit stop right after that and deleted that shit. No way I'm watching a 4 hour movie.

not sure if you are aware, but they have this feature where you can actually stop a movie (or any media) at any point, and then pick up where you left off.....but here's the kicker......you can do this anytime that you want. Its freaking amazing. Best thing since sliced bread.

just watch it in spurts. time will fly by.

First off.... Fuck You.

Secondly.... yeah yeah... I know I'm gonna check it out one day. I was just so disgusted last night at how long the movie was.
