Justice League MOVIE Discussion (The SynderCut Drops 3/18/2021)

ok makes sense that the suit absorbs light faster than the blue.

what I don’t understand is how can one forget which planet they found the anti life equation on.
After that ass whopping Darkseid took from Zeus, Ares and Artemis maybe he was in shock and just forgot. Remember he passed out on the ship. Desaad's colleagues were killed. After such a defeat maybe they just said "fuck we just got our ass handed to us lets just forget about this place."

one thing i noticed, he handed Aquaman his trident. It may be nothing, but could also be an indication that he ran some tests on it. we know he has files on everyone.

Yep, Batman analyzes everything he touches and has files on everyone, including their weaknesses, in case they go rogue. As the old expression goes, he's a belt and suspenders kinda guy, in terms of backup plan contingencies in place.

JLU animated series did a good job showcasing when the entire league was taken out using Batman's files.

First off read what I wrote. I didn’t say simply drop to the ground like it is vertical drop. I said the head would not go through the portal.
I AM challenging you on this...because you think a part of a body punched by Superman (which we can both agree will have ungodly amounts of momentum), would suddenly lose all that momentum and just drop to the ground after a swift cut by WW (who was near the boom tube opening, btw).

If you contend that the head would just drop to the ground at the spot WW cut it, then I question your education and your unjustified confidence in it.

But it's a fucking comic book movie so whatever.

If you've never seen Justice League: Doom you should definitely check it out. Batman is a fucking G in this movie.

Snyder Cut is still weak. The base/core/script of the movie is weak and there lies the problem. While the cut scenes and extra shots helped flesh out the story, it still wasn't a huge experience.

Man of Steel, BVS, and this film suffer from the same problems. Snyder really doesn't know what to do with these characters and the heads at WB don't know either.

I got a question, maybe I missed it or one of y'all know.

How did Flash get his powers?

It's obvious that he's been doing the superhero thing for a while, as evidenced by his knowledge of the Speed Force, control of his powers & the silicia uniform.

But if he just got a job working for the CCPD in the Justice League movie, then he shouldn't have his powers until after the JL movie.

Even the TV version doesn't work here.

Any ideas, guys?

Don’t forget the Flash can manipulate time. Was looking forward to his Infinity Mass Punch against Darkseid but maybe some other time.

They probably expected everyone to watch the WB show.

It'll probably be fleshed out in his movie, which makes no sense.

That scene was cut because it was snyders version and that scene was clearly a whedon thing but if a SUPERCUT was done...put it this way if that scene was in the avengers you would have thought it was gold:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
...and thats where that type shit belongs, at marvel("what are those?!?") cinematic u universe. Mcu movies tries to hard with the humor and only 35% of the jokes lands. Whedon tried to do that shit with dc and it didn't work. When I saw it in the theatre not once dis I laugh and the flash was the worst of them all. The tone of whedons justice like was obnoxiously juvenile.

His solo movie will prolly explain it.

Yeah, they'll definitely do it in the solo movie. But if they don't change his costume and running style people will pass on giving it a chance. No one wants to see Goofy Flash, running weird and pushing things for 2 hours.

Damn you're trying way too hard to troll.
Bro, we can't even have a halfway decent conversation due to cats wanting to troll. It's cool if someone is a fan of one or the other. But damn, when you start nit picking about "realism" in comic movies, ish gets ridiculous.

Literally, every comic movie from both DC and Marvel have plot holes and questionable actions or lack thereof.

In the theater version when they're digging up Superman's body he tells cyborg that he was hit with lightning. In this new version he doesn't mention it at all.

Well it IS a comic book:dunno:

The shoe horning of Manhunter makes him look like a sap. He was around in man of steel sat back and did not when zod shows up. He was around in Batman v Superman did nothing when zod turn into doomsday. Then he did nothing in JL cept wait til the heavy lifting was done then ask to join the team wtf lol.

Just finished.

Jesus I can't believe I'm saying this....I fucking loved it.

Cyborg was the shit, the scene with his father's tape recorder.... The epilogue...just damn good.

The crazy thing is not only did I think this was impossible to make me ever lien this movie, I never thought I'd say this...I liked jarred leto's joker. Wtf lol

those were just worst lines...not jokes... and half of those I wouldn't consider bad lines... my issues with whedons cut has more to do with plotting and treatment of the story overall. a number of the scenes or lines weren't that bad IMO :dunno::dunno::dunno:

I've seen it but I'm re-watching it. DOPE animation movie.

The Snyder cut is a lot better but you're right, the fundamental issue is how DC/Warner doesn't see the need for their own Jon Favreau / Kevin Feigeis.

Overall, I enjoyed the Snyder version WAY WAY WAY more than the theater version. Watched it in 3 parts. Couldn't sit for 4 hours straight lol

Bruh, this shit is just rushed.

JL Animated and JLU Animated are some of the best comic book adaptations of all time. It took the flash seasons before he was using the speedforce like he did in the snyder cut.

DC has already done the death and birth of Superman Frank Miller Batman, Parallax, and fucking flashpoint.

They lost the fight, Superman died again and the flash just reversed it. How can they ever lose when they have infinite do overs? Nothing really matters the way this was set up, and it was set up this way because Synder doesn't fundamentally care or respect the source material. Batman getting raped? Already killed of Dick Grayson so no nightwing? I could go on and on.

These are one off films, not a coordinated universe, or at least not a sustainable one
Dick grayson wasn't killed off it was jason. how many arcs did the mcu bypass to do civil war, winter soldier, ragnarok/planet hulk the infinity saga? you cant condense a whole history of events in about 25 hours worth of movies and also these movies are there own universe they don't have to necessarily follow canon or match comic books and animated universe panel for panel. if thats the way they chose to tell the story i'm over it. i'm ovet the whole doomsday thing etc. it just is what it is. i like the snyder cut because it put all the pieces together and made everything make sense.

Comedy in between action/seriousness can be cool if done properly. With these superhero action films, the comedy attempts are over cooked lately with one movie attempting to out do the other with the comedy routine.

One of my few gripes with Marvel as well.

For me, it's unnecessary. I'on like that campy shit.
