You brought up Marvel!!!!

My point is that fucking movie isn't moving the needle if you wanna compare Marvel and DC.

DC needs 7 more billion dollar movies to even be a thing.

Don't bring up shit if you don't wanna be challenged.

Fuck nigga.

Quick trying to act tough on a message board lol... you can challenge someone's opinion without all the ra-ra extra shit.

Just finished watching the movie.

All I can say is DC was down by 25 with 6min left until halftime (going against Marvel)... they just cut it to 10 at the half lol

I was impressed. Still had some flaws but I'm liking the direction especially if they do Darkside and the rest of the villians right.

Sadly it doesn't matter fam..

Right now... according to Snyder .... WB said that the theatrical version is canon. We might never see the finish to any of this.

CANON TO WHAT??? not Nolans Batman series...the man of steel moves didn't really establish anything? BVS was pure ass.. and WW hit or miss mostly miss... so canon to WHAT??

I swear I HATE this generation of movie making and movie watchers... FANBOYS have RUINED everything across the board..

A Jewish guy ran faster than the speed of light.

It's a comic book movie, the laws of physics don't apply.

There was a scene when they were at the dome and Batman was running. I was like there is NO WAY is ole azz is running that fast...lol... Even if he wasn't recovering from Superman recently almost beating the crap out of him.

I'd bet the very same folks who claim the WB version "is Cannon"... are the same WB employees who NEVER thought the SnyderCut would ever see the light of day, in the first place.

Ssheeeeiiiitttt..... by the time they drop the first trailers for Zach Snyders' Justice League 2 sequel... all the folks who told Snyder the WB version is "Canon" today, probably won't even still be working for WB anymore. :smh:

Kevin Tsujihara is a prime example.

He was the CEO of Warner Brothers who DEMANDED that Joss Whedon trim Snyder's original JL movie down to LESS than 2 hours.

And 2 years after his JL fiasco hit theaters.... he was accused of 'casting couch' sexual harassment tactics... and Tsujihara resigned from WB (in disgrace) in 2019. So if the Warner Brothers CEO can lose his job.... best believe all the jobs of these lower-level employees who now claim that the theatrical version is "Canon" are NOT safe either. :smh:

Well, Snyder is the one who said the theatrical cut was canon.

I heard that whatever we seen in the first movie that wasn't in the second was all Joss. So what Joss Whedon done was removed completely which tells me even with harsh editing to reduce Snyder's cut to 2-3 hours It would have been 100 times better than Joss Whedon's JLA. What Joss done didn't need to be added. It also solidifies Ray Fisher's claims against Whedon may be true. Both Fisher's Cyborg and Ezra Miller's Flash character's were down played greatly in the Whedon film but were totally key to the film.
Fuck Whedon. He removed damn near all People of Color in his version.

The woman Cyborg helps, Cyborgs mother, Iris West, the Asian Scientist, the African warriors.....

Did anyone else get Injustice vibes from this. Remember Lois Lane had a pregnancy test in her drawer. Batman also said that Lois Lane was the key to something bad happening with Superman. And the joker scene.

If they do injustice, DC may finally surpass Marvel

Ok, we have to stop doing that to ourselves. Stop the comparisons.

DC is not playing in the same league as Marvel.

DC is the G-League. Marvel is the NBA.

Well, Snyder is the one who said the theatrical cut was canon.
Correction: Snyder said "he was told" the theatrical cut was canon.

The Snyder Cut Is Not Canon in the DC Universe, Says Zack Snyder
https://collider.com/is-snyder-cut-canon-dc-films-zack-snyder-comments/

From the Article....

Snyder says that when he started the process of finishing his cut of Justice League for release on HBO Max, Warner Bros. made clear that the 2017 theatrical cut of the movie would remain canon for DC Films and not The Snyder Cut:

“Warner Bros told me when I started this process that they consider the theatrical cut as canon to their DC Universe that they want to build out and that my version will always be like this outworld non-canon version. I’m like, fine, you know, it’s your IP, it’s your universe, of course, that’s your decision.
At the time we made the movie, when the story was written and sort of developed, the plan was to make two more Justice League movies while these other solo films were spinning out.”

Keep in mind.... this was WB's sentiment back in 2017 / or 2018.

Now that the Snyder Cut is finallly out..... and getting the MOST ACCOLADES that WB has EVER had...
And it's being regarded by some DC fans as A MASTERPIECE....

That sentiment will change in 2021.
Or certain people will lose their jobs.

Wait for it.

Ok, we have to stop doing that to ourselves. Stop the comparisons.

DC is the G-League. Marvel is the NBA.
I love Marvel films too. Just saying the Injustice story is the kind that would make for great movies.

Besides, Every once in a while a G-league player turns into Pascal Siakam.

Just finished this its about 1 hr too long. Definitely better than Whedon's version but still flawed.
Wonder Woman and Cyborg were my fav characters. Zak's version has the better action sequences and visuals.
With that said Thank God for Marvel. Zak's slow motion with opera music in the background and Dark/dull film palate gets stale for me.
One thing this movie made me realize was how bad superhero movies used to be. Bad writing/characters with out clear motivation mixed in with unintelligent dialogue are what weighs down this universe and its a shame cuz DC has the characters to make a better universe.

A few questions.
Why did superman choose to wear the black suit after coming back? Didn’t see it explained. Is the suit colour reference to different/new abilities?

Did Darkseid imprint the anti life equation on earth during the battle with Zeus, Ares, Atlantians etc?

He wore the black in the comics when he came back from the dead. I believed in the comics it was explained that it absorbed the sunlight quicker than the red and blue.

He found the equation on Earth but he was beaten by the forces here. They always knew that the equation was on the planet they were beaten on, they just didn't know that the planet was 'Earth' nor how to get back. Once the motherboxes revealed it to Steppenwolf, that's when he told Darkseid and I guess then he was like, "oh yeah, those them niggas....."

When WW cuts off Stephanwolf's head, the momentum would not allow for the head to move with the body through the portal.
The head would have fell on the ground. So Darkseid stepping on the head is just against the laws of physics!

Do you how velocity works?

I love the Injustice storyline too, but DC films have mostly been trash and its not because they haven't had good storylines to adapt.

Superman was a horrible fucking son. Imagine being dam near omnipotent and not making sure your moms house is paid off. Piece of shit didnt even have enough life insurance to set her old ass straight. Pathetic.

It was paid off when pops died. Moms didn't pay the taxes because she was blowing the money that Clack sent her at Bingo. She was stressed because she lost her husband and her son never visited because he was chasing Lois and fighting to save the city all the time. How's that?

STFU!!!

It's a superhero movie......everything in it goes against the laws of physics.

Captain America will bounce his shield off of three surfaces and it will come back to him with the same energy that he threw it. That's against the laws of physics. It's so obvious they actually put that line in Civil War.

Now we know you just trying to troll. Talking about physics in a movie where a dude flies and one runs faster than light.

ok makes sense that the suit absorbs light faster than the blue.

what I don’t understand is how can one forget which planet they found the anti life equation on.

what I don’t understand is how can one forget which planet they found the anti life equation on.

I imagine the motherboxes helped them, but they were left on Earth so they didn't have them to lead them to it again.

And remember, at the end, Darkseid was like "we'll use the old ways", but I imagine that by then they had the means to pinpoint where Earth was.

In the comics the suit was designed to help the weakened Superman absorb more solar energy. I'm sure snyder was going for the same idea.

I grilled some cheeseburgers last night for dinner, my white wife made some potato salad with the raisins and peanuts in it.

We sat down in front of the TV eating our meal to watch the movie on TV around 630pm.

I have HBO MAX on my cable service box. I have a HD DVR and a 4k SMART TV.

HBO MAX will broadcast to you in 4k UHD depending on what you are watching the movie on.

The first thing I noticed is the movie is in 4:3 ratio. That threw me off. My TV can be adjusted with the ratio. I have 5 options. I chose Cinema and the movie filled up the screen and I did not lose any picture or quality. If you watched this movie on HBO MAX on your Smart TV you need to readjust the picture. You will not lose quality or picture.

If you watching it from a DL, good chance you will lose picture quality because you are watching a copy (and possibly a copy of a copy), not the original broadcast from HBO Max.

I watched the original Justice League last week and the difference in look between the movies is like night and day. The new movie is brighter and clearer and is not dark like some have posted earlier. Even in the scenes when they are outdoors in overcast weather and the scenes that are done at night, everything is crystal clear and you can see all details fully.

The additional content is a plus and adds more depth to the story. Going more in detail of the characters was done well. The music was not a disappointment like others have said, it just added a different view of the movie to make it stand out from the original and other superhero movies. I don't think they just randomly chose songs off the top of their head, the songs obviously go with the scene they are attached to it.

Steppenwolf look 100% better than the original. He had more detail and his movements flowed better. My wife made a comment that the metallic "towel" thing swinging between his legs, in some scenes she said it looked like a big dick swinging between his legs. HaHa!!!

She also stated the winged soldiers fighting alongside Steppenwolf reminded her of the flying monkeys from the original "Wizard of Oz". HaHa!!!

Using slo-mo for some of the scenes with the characters using their powers was done ok. It was done to clearly show how their powers worked. It was most noticeable with Wonder Woman fighting that bank robber dude when he pulled out the semi-automatic machine gun against the civilians. They showed Wonder Woman in slo-mo taking down the bullets and showed her in real time blocking the bullets. The slo-mo helped define the scene.

And........the movie is 4 hours long.

Me, the wife and kids started getting sleepy around the 2 hour mark. It was also around 9pm when we got to the 2 hour mark and my kids needed to get to their chores doing the dishes, cleaning the kitchen and other stuff. And the wife had some laundry to finish.

We will watch the last two hours tonight during dinner. I will give my final review after that.

So far, the movie is a lot better than the original from what I have seen.

Next thing you're gonna tell me is superman can't really fly
Bruh, this shit is just rushed.

JL Animated and JLU Animated are some of the best comic book adaptations of all time. It took the flash seasons before he was using the speedforce like he did in the snyder cut.

DC has already done the death and birth of Superman Frank Miller Batman, Parallax, and fucking flashpoint.

They lost the fight, Superman died again and the flash just reversed it. How can they ever lose when they have infinite do overs? Nothing really matters the way this was set up, and it was set up this way because Synder doesn't fundamentally care or respect the source material. Batman getting raped? Already killed of Dick Grayson so no nightwing? I could go on and on.

These are one off films, not a coordinated universe, or at least not a sustainable one
