Most niggas don’t travel. Take their ass to Boise, Idaho would be enough to bitch them up. Lmaoo

Sorry for your loss @850credit

Keep you head up, and definitely don’t place blame on yourself. I know it’s part of the grieving processes, but don’t let it take you down dark paths thinking you could have done more. We all think that way when we lose someone close, but the reality is you have a life too. You can only be so much of a human to people even when they are close to you.

Well, my friend just lost his SON, presumably to gun violence. He's too shaken up to tell me what happened.

This is the brother of the girl graduate in this story.

These are the closest I have to kids so it hurts.

Saw it coming if he didn't change his ways.

And was BRILLIANT. At one point wanted to go to Emory University to study prosthetics.

Just got caught up in the times he was living in.

To see the loss and waste of potential is staggering.

We have lost generations of leaders, providers, males who could have grown into men, changed their ways and influenced others.

This kid was not a thug. He got caught up playing a role, and others weren't playing. He could have been anything he wanted.

Our loss of human capital is immense and has barely been quantified.

Gonna be hard to sleep tonight.

Can't shake the feeling that I should have done more for him.

The path he was going down was obvious to everyone but him.

Like many of us at that age I think he listened to me more than his dad.

I wrote him when he was in juvenile for an extended period. Texted with him a little. Tried to be an uncle to him but...

I'm glad I at least told him he was brilliant and could still do anything he wanted once he got out of juvenile. They wiped his record clean. But he became institutionalized and his "friends" became more important than his family.

Sorry for all this fellas but thanks for giving me a place to get this out

My condolences brother.

I was talking to someone about this the other day. There are many black people who believe that they're blackness is a degree enhanced or diminished by the activities they are into

If you listen to country music, you ain't black enough. If you don't listen to Lil Wayne, you ain't really black. If you don't like chitlins, you ain't really black those are all silly ones but reinforce what I'm saying

There are black people who are born into affluence. Theo Huxtable for example was born into affluence. His mother is a lawyer, his father is a doctor he doesn't need to hang out around the hood. But somehow in his mind he feels he needs to because you ain't really black if you ain't from the hood in the minds of a lot of people.

This causes people who were born into affluence to hang around the hood. It causes them to hang around people they had no business ever even knowing because they believe they're blackness is somehow tied into their actions when it's not

You aren't more or less black because of anything you do Or don't do. If you are republican, you're still black. If you listen to Country music, you're still black. If you hate the fact that you're black, you are still black. Nothing can increase or diminish your blackness, and that's something many of our young people need to learn

I'm so sorry for your loss, brother

I'm so tired of niggas and nigga shit

White folks really did a masterful job with our sub lower class

They're fucking pathetic and useless
There was a time when I would claim the only ****** is the person who believes there are *******.
But now I am convinced that the only ******* are the ones who wholeheartedly buy into the fucked up culture of greed and selfishness, introduced by the white man.
That aside thank god you made it out alive 850 credit.

Don't think because you are an engineer, business owner, doctor or attorney; that the street violence can't touch you. These street fools are now approaching you with this ignorant foolishness.

You will try everything to get rid of them and it won't work such as Boyce Watkins or Tariq Nasheed; glorified street bangers with money. You might have to do a driveby to get them to pause and let them know you are about that life.

One day as your soon to be mayor, Vice-President, President, representative languishes in prison on petty theft, they will one day get out. They will come for you, demanding that you 'donate' to their charity or else. You refuse and they raid your business on some trumped up charges, take your business license away.
