I watched this last night on Hulu with my sons while eating dinner at home.
Being I’m the last person on the forum too see it, no need in going into details.
The story continues with John going against the High Table that now has a new Marquis.
This film took the gunfights/hand-to-hand combat scenes and amped them up compared to past films. Basically the whole film was John going at it fighting and shooting up everyone. There is a decent car chase scene in Paris which is a highlight. Different camera angles were used to capture the action through out the film.
The film hints it’s the end for John, but this is a profitable franchise, so he will be back for a few more films in the near future for sure.
Hulu has all 4 John Wick films on its service.

I don't know about the book
the crosswind +no bullet drop at the distance shown adds up -these movies went out of their way to depict weapon performance accuratly right down to the shot count matching magazine capacity along with balistic performance eg no one gettin blown off their feet from 9mm guns
the chamber check - yeah I started learning about 1911 and 2011 recently - I've been told the first round jam is typical if the gun hasn't finished its breakin period or if using hollow point ammo
the watch is soldier tradecraft going back to WW1
every movie / tv show has slips in continuity

You think they CONSCIOUSLY but that chamber check in the film though? That's a level of detail that is jaw dropping.
To even NOTICE the umbrella to me is trying so hard that I dismiss everything a person or AI in this case says. Who the hell notices or cares?
