- Ortiz is one of the best in the game
- He's better than Aftermath. Hopefully he'll align himself with the right people
- He's got alot of respect from the BGOL heads (as evidenced by the threads about him last year)
- Miss Info needs to take her ass over to AGOL and get into some pornographic relations on camera. She could catch penetration for days

dude ain't nothing special to be honest nice flow from time to time but most of his songs aren't listenable like that. he might spit a good 16 from time to time but can he make a hot album the answer is no

u buggin.. ortiz is faaar from garbage....he just not outstanding, just pretty good.

Nigga plain as white bread to me...I'll admit I am exaggerating by saying he's garbage...but I wouldn't even call him 'pretty good'...he's not even good...if he was a report card grade he would just be "satisfactory"...maybe even a "needs improvement"...but definitely not "good" or "excellent"...

Fuck A RECORD DEAL Son
Do it for the love
put out mixtapes
do shows
I was close to signing a deal with Irv Gotti back in 99 but shit went sour
and i was hurt at the time
but now i look back on it the music business ain't all that it's cracked up to be especially when i see artist that was hot back then that ain't even around now
Dru Hill
Rough Endz
Black Rob
Jah Rule
Wu-tang
etc..

Labels want a radio song
thats what made big pun special he could produce a street banger then make a hot radio joint

What's wit all the Artist gettin Dropped lately...
kats downloading LP's in record numbers---so much so if you're not a mulit-plat artist or at least multi-plat potential, studio heads dont want you.............funny I remember in '96-'97 kats bumpin official LP's in their cars.......now all I hear is ppl bumpin Bootleg MIXTAPES.....the Music game has been flipped on its ear---

--I think the new way to do it, is doin it like a Lil Wayne-make hella mixtapes, get a strong street buzz, and do mad, mad shows..and get money that way---cause kats aint buyin LP's any more

THE ARTIST GETS RAPPED ALL AROUND
MONEY IS IN THE LIVE SHOWS
THINK ABOUT HOW GO GO MUSIC LAST FOR SO LONG WITHOUT ANY RADIO PLAY OUTSIDE OF MD,DC,VA AREA
RECORDS COMPANIES ARE GETTING WHAT THEY DESERVE RIGHT NOW FOR OVER CHARGING FOR CDs in the 90s
and the quality of artist they are signing.

Yeah, but still, you have to remember that those LPs didn't pay the MCs or the Groups, it paid the Record Companies, Now rappers have the upper hand on Record companies, who are crumbling as I type this statement. They make most of their money doing Shows, so they're good. WU is still banging out records because they stay touring, steady pay check for doign somethihng they love doing. come on. Having a record nowadays is like doing clerical work. sitting on your ass doing something for a greedy corporation, when you can actually go out there and work the Tours and make real money, not that nine-month bullshit Royalty chump change.

true what you're saying......but i mean record sales used to mean something, to the artist and the Company, kats would live by their sales figures, always quoting their 1st week sales, and their sales for the yr---not anymore----kats lucky to go 1 plat, let alone 2 or 3 mill.......So now (sorta like you said) the label aint shit---again I remember want to buy the Makavelli or the All eyes on Me or the Ready to die Lp----i mean kats wanted the official CD with linear Notes and artwork--it was something you had to have---i had a homeboy who wouldn't put bootlegs in his tape deck, only official shit--no one wanted the "flea-market" bootleg-----now kats don't buy LP's period, hell in my town all the Cd stores have closed...if you're silly enough to buy an LP your only option is best buy------the game is changed for everyone--artist,label,and the Fans
