They didn't sue so that's all I needed to see. Mal is a Drake fan, he obviously has no problem with lawsuits.
I think they thought saying Joe was a thief would damage his reputation and popularity, not realizing that Joe never had a good reputation to ruin.
Once it changed from I'll Name This Podcast Later to The Joe Budden Podcast, it should have been plainly obvious who's podcast it was. It would have made no sense for them to be equal partners when nobody knew who they were when the podcast started, and everyone listened because of him and it was his idea in the first place.
